A digital signature can only be obtained through a CA Certification Authority that is registered and authorized to issue DSCs to individuals as per the MCA guidelines of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Digital Signature Certificate i.e. "DSC" is an electronic computer certificate format for storing users' personal data in digital format. A digital signature certificate helps users with legal non-repudiation. Therefore, DSC is legally admissible in court under the IT Act, 2000, Government of India.
It ensures the security, protection, and authenticity of users' personal data, which cannot be decrypted by any participant without the use of a public key.
