The older son obeyed his father out of obligation, not out of affection. A father has two sons, and when the youthful son comes of age, he asks for his share of the household inheritance. We do not know whether or not the elder son accepts his father's reassurance or rejects it. Jesus leaves that up to us.
Understanding his son's ignorance, the daddy hires him as a scavenger. The primary parable was about a lost sheep ( Luke 15:four-7 ). In this story, the shepherd had 100 sheep. Jesus took this story and turned it into a story that exhibits God's love and mercy on the repentant.

This story persuasively reveals God's loving concern for humankind and, particularly, his favouritism in direction of the outcast.
