The Calcutta University is all set to increase its fees by around 16% for the academic year 2022-23. The university has decided to increase the fee structure for undergraduate courses from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000 per annum. .The university has decided to increase the fees for postgraduate courses from Rs. 9,000-10,000 per course to Rs. 15,000-20,000 per year respectively. The fees for professional degree courses and certifications will be increased from Rs. 5,500-7,500 per annum to Rs 10,000-15,000

Calcutta University is all set to increase its fees by around 16% for the academic year 2022-23 and post graduate courses from Rs 40, to Rs 64, while undergraduate courses will be increased from Rs 20 to 36.The official decision was made at the University Grants Commission meeting held in New Delhi on Thursday.“If a student wants to continue his/her education after graduation and wants to pursue a post-graduation degree, he/she will have to pay Rs 64 per semester with a yearly fee of Rs 12,552. For those who want to pursue an undergraduate course, their fees will be increased by 16% from Rs 20 to Rs 36,” said the university's Vice-Chancellor Dr Alokesh Sinha.Curtailing expenses and making the process of admission as transparent as possible are among the primary goals for this hike in fees.
