Hey I didn't see your contact info on your site when I sent that eBay message where I snuck in my phone number at the end so we could try to work something out on the 755 and 760 CPUs outside of eBay.

Like I mentioned I go through your area several times a year and if you are interested in bulk quantity I would be willing to deliver so long as I am going through the area already. If you are talking 100+ units I could.

What condition do they need to be in? All I typically do with these types of CPU is to make sure they boot to bios. I assume u buy them without hard drives as how you like using certain drives.

Anyway I think we can do some business so feel free to email text or call me.

I don't really need operating system or anything else installed software-wise. I use freebies =) If you can throw that stuff in free that's fine sure ~ like I just mirror things across all the machines to save time (part of Y I stick with few models).

For the site, mail address is near the top of the page under the 'photos list' thingy...
Says: Mail Me At "balkanguy (at) live (dot) com" For Details!

The E8500 CPUs are basically free these days. Most I've ever paid is a dollar each, but can get for 10 cents...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/273893523199
Some people are delusional though...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/202765696777
@ $2.24 LOL! I mean it sounds silly 2 even say, as that's 'cheap' per CPU, but not today since they are so slow. People just don't want 2 'waste their time'.

To be clear, I would LOVE to use modern PCs but they don't sound good compared to the few 'magical' Dell models with the AD1984 chip. Another great find are the 'old junk' IBM S50 PCs = actually the most popular PC ever made, but how many people realized if you just remove the noisy 'line in' cable they sound so glorious?
https://justpaste.it/4enwk

Amps are a similar story = cheap stuff can also be good =)
https://justpaste.it/4enwk

Speaking of 'efficiency of design', these tubular speakers are a great value. I don't sell a lot of them as people need to hear them in person because so unusual they don't know what to think (or believe =))
http://paulrand.coolpage.biz/Toobz!.htm

I'm very into this kind of stuff if you are interested:
http://paulrand.coolpage.biz/NeptuneHolographics/compare_neptune.htm#more1B

The operating system I use is free, and OK since these Dells were all sold with XP or similar originally anyway...
https://archive.org/details/XP.PE.July.2009.English
https://www.zone62.com/forum/software-hangout/123-windows-7-or-windows-8-iso-s

HAY maybe U could use some 'configuration tips'? These old Dells are great for 'home theater' stuff like can run fancy 'filters' on videos, making even 'old krap' youtube clips look fancy, even HD-like...
https://justpaste.it/32kp3
https://justpaste.it/7i54j

But back to the point of getting Dell OptiPlex 755 & 760 MT PCs, here is the message I sent on Fleabay about it:

If it is cheaper for you to sell them to me without drives, RAM, CPUs or radiators (heat sinks) or even without CD drives I'm up for that ~ depends what the difference is =) Here is how I configure them after I do 'upgrades':

- Core2 Duo E8500 3.16Ghz CPU ~ these are basically free (or like 10 CENTS each in bulk =) Faster things like for instance Q9650 or Q6600 are also fine.
- Big 6 copper pipe heat sink
- 2X Samsung HD204UI drives, made before 12-20-2011
- Windows XP 'Performance Edition' (a hack with extra features =)
- 2 or 3GB of RAM (there's actually a way 2 get way more than 4GB under XP but haven't found the need 4 it yet)

I need them with XP to run these, as they don't make drivers for anything after:
http://paulrand.coolpage.biz/Aardvarker.htm

BTW: I have a lot of computer stuff if you are maybe looking to trade as well, like tons of CD & DVD & floppy drives, even stuff like Zip & Jazz drives (which are rather expensive on Ebay these days). I could make a list if you are curious. Also many types of add-in cards, cables, even some old CRT monitors (which I should have kept more of I guess as those have gone way up! =)) Nostalgia? It's true flat monitors tend to have quite messed up gamma and color usually but I fix it with tweaks. They all tend to be so over saturated and 2 much contrast, like a cheesy post card. Plasmas have sort of the opposite problem = kind of washed out.

There is a certain type of monitor that's cheap & really good under the HP brand ~ a series. I'll put up a page about them. Maybe you get those too = very nice 'Trinitron'-like vibe, gloss screen & look great after some gamma fixing. Very pretty looking frame too which looks great with the Dells (better than Dell brand monitors). I would like to someday market a 'Recording PC' or something, with Hi-Z 'guitar' input too, based on the 'combination' I use now, with AD1984 chip 'reissue'? =) Like put 4 XLR/combo jacks in the free drive bay on the front =D

CPU-related message:

Yes I would like to get a bunch of Dell OptiPlex 755 and 760 PCs if you can deliver to my storage unit in Grover Beach, California sometime. There's no rush =) Maybe put some aside for me in a pile? I will buy them if they're cheap. What's the lowest you can do per machine as a 'bulk pallet' thing?

BTW: What are the '449' and '1125' exactly? I can't find information on those 'PCs' using google.

The '520' has the same nice sound chip as the 755 and 760 Dell OptiPlexes (which is the only reason I might want them ~ they're not available on cards), but the fastest CPU the 520 will take is about double the watts yet 1/4 the speed of the 755 'value-priced' E8500 CPUs. For the same CPU watts the 755 & 760 can also take the Q9650 which are about 8X the speed. So basically the 520 are twice as noisy (fan-wise) yet 1/4 to 1/8 the maximum speed of the others, which lowers their value (to me).

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Pentium+D+915+%40+2.80GHz&id=1126
vs...
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Duo+E8500+%40+3.16GHz&id=5
vs...
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Quad+Q9650+%40+3.00GHz&id=1050

I'm not trying to make this seem complicated, but basically if you just want to 'get rid of' the 520 machines I'm happy to 'experiment' with them, but they're pretty much 'obsolete'. I'm definitely into 'saving them from the landfill' as the SOUND quality on them (with the 'lucky ADI chip) is sure to be glorious, like the 'Accidentally Awesome' 755 & 760! =)

I really wish those particular 'magical' AD1984 chips were available on add-in cards. Then I could use fast 'modern' machines! =D Maybe try them 4 sound sometime. The 'texture' is very natural, like a high dollar stereo ~ a real 'sleeper' system, great for music & even movies (if you don't need surround). The 755 easily do 4K. This stuff is all really 'old' so what's the lowest you can do per unit bulk on the 755 & 760 MT OptiPlexes? =) Thanx!

'CPU' vs. 'PC' confusion? =)) RE: Hard drives and optiplex cpus

I think I may have misunderstood what you MEANT by 'CPU'. U R referring to just the PCs & not selling 'CPUs' for them? I don't even need the CPUs as they are so cheap & I can find separate, but if you can throw in ones like E8500 or faster compatible ones that's fine (like Q9650 or Q6600, etc.) I find on Ebay the price for anything faster than E8500 is just silly ~ from less than a dollar then jumps to like 20? LOL!! HEY if you notice you have a lot of Dells with those you could make a 'mint' selling those as 'upgrade CPUs'? =)

WoW 100+ is a lot of units. I could to I guess $15 each at 100 units, with no drives or CPUs or radiators (unless you want to include those anyway). I like the big 6 copper pipe radiators on these because they cool better so fan doesn't have to run as fast, so everything stays quieter even driven hard. I would want all the 'empty' machines to 'boot' to BIOS yes ~ not looking for 'dead' machines (burnt motherboards or bad power supplies). I would need to buy more keyboards and monitors and drives & stuff for them to make them 'rentable'. I'm down to 80 of these nice mice...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/123352904123
What's with the silly $10k price? Money laundering? LOL They're GR8! Actually mine say 'Dell PMX-MMOCZUL (B)'. I got a big pile long ago for like $1.80 each (one dollar eighty =)

I'm into these machines because of the great sound chip they use. They're not available on any add-in cards unfortunately =P The Dell OptiPlex 760 MT is basiclaly the same machine as the Dell OptiPlex 755 MT but the 760 has fancier video capability built in, & even though the 760 has better 'gaming' graphics it's still a joke compared to most cheap add-in cards LOL It's all about the sound to me, and the cases look nice too! And the fans are quiet, etc. They're worth the same to me really, so either way ~ either &/or both mixed together is fine.

I originally found out about these machines when I picked up a couple of them free on the street from a local computer shop =)) I tried them out because the sound chip wasn't Realtek or Creative or any of the other 'always sound terrible' designs, & WOW so NICE! =D Very 'album-like' quality 2 it. It's maybe a subtle thing, but hours in you just forget about the hardware & all 'lost in the sound' kind of deal = very 'Hi-Fi' =) Do try them out. There's also a driver trick 2 get the chip talking to software to recrod 'streaming' stuff if U R into that. They cripple it 'out of the box' but it's just a 'configuration' hack. Next level though is going 'Aardvark' card into a Sony TAE2000 ESD or something equivalent smooth 1 bit or whatever...
https://justpaste.it/4enwk

I hear 'Burr Brown' & other DACs sound nice, but here with the Dells U don't need anything else. U can just plug in headphones or an amp or whatever & U R done. For surround can always get a card, & it's not as big an issue with those as movies are 48Khz from the source, so don't have the harsh 'anti-aliasing' problems of 'always forcing 48' like Realtek & others (which ruins CD quality 'kuz it's 44.1). Sound is harsh & loses detail when U mix sample rates in an odd way like that. blabla...

Anything that says on there '2011.12' is fine by me! =) The ones before '2010.12' have a firmware PROBLEM but are fixable with some tweaking. I guess I'm going to be doing a lot of that then... How many do you have made on or before '2011.12'? Thanx

The best dates are drives made BETWEEN 12-2010 to 12-20-2011 = NOT Seagate

Anything Samsung HD204UI 2TB drive made on or BEFORE '2011.12' is fine =) I'm not surprised it can sound confusing. I really prefer ones made BETWEEN 12-2010 to 12-20-2011, but ones BEFORE '2010.12' are OK too, just need to upgrade the 'firmware' via a flash utility.

What is your PayPal account name to send payment? I would need photos of the 2011 drives that do not have months marked on them, so I can see from looking whether they are 'rebranded Seagates'. There are differences in the labeling & other stuff I can tell. Please attach photos of them to E-Mail =) If the 'monthless' ones all look the same just 1 photo is fine ~ so I can read the details to check my 'fake Samsungs' reference materials =)

As for the optiplex 755 and 760. I am going to be somewhere around $24 per unit delivered to garden grove. That would be for 30-40 units or more.

I can throw in ram and I believe you said you use core 2 duo e8400 cpus so I can provide you with a bunch of those as well.

Hello,

I actually haven't had a chance to go through the drives yet =) I unpacked them and transferred them to a smaller package for storage. I should post a page on how I format them a certain way for maximum performance, optimized cluster sizes & all that jazz. I use this free utility to mirror the boot partitions all the same:
https://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm

You pack things really well. You're my 2'nd place all time award for 'super-professional packing' =D #1 was a guy who sold me a recording interface ~ it was like opening a jewel =)) Used but even protected the original display box. What's even better is I got it at just $30 instead of the usual $50 or so they go for today, so I was super-impressed. Aaah the miracle of the internet ~;D

I'm up for the OptiPlexes you mention (Dell OptiPlex 755 MT & Dell Optiplex 760 MT PCs) at $24 each @ quantity 30+. It would be even more awesome if they have the 6 copper pipe type big radiators in them, but no biggie. I have about 30 or so extra right now to put in there. RAM is great too, 3GB or more. XP doesn't really see a full 4GB unless it is patched fancy ways, but can get crazy high amounts if you do. If you are curious about that, I can forward you to the utilities.

Of course, after XP it's not really an issue the artificially imposed limits on RAM. Reminds me of the low bit depth on hard drive drivers in XP SP1 & such, ruining drives sometimes. They should mention people all they need is 'drive overlay software' to boot between the bios & OS loading to recognize it. I even contacted Micro$oft about that and they ignored me (because they like to pretend the only $olution 2 things is is 2 get the 'Late$t Greate$t Ver$ion' LOL

OK this is getting kind of long and you are probably a busy guy. Please give me as much notice you can ahead of time when you would be bringing the Dells over and how many so I can be sure to have enough spare ca$h 2 pay U when U arrive =)

BTW: Do you get a lot of monitors in too? I should put up a page on my favorites. They're a certain line of HPs that look really cool and work great with the Dells, but I'm way more flexible with monitors. One thing that is required though is a glossy (not 'flat/matt' finish or 'anti-reflective' type) screen. The shiny 'window-like' screens may have a 'glare' problem in some arrangements but the picture is much more clear and nice (relatively speaking). It's a trick you will notice in the new 'OLED' & stuff they will have glossy instead of fuzzy screen and people are not mentioning how a lot of the improvement is just from removing the fizz LOL Aaah 'marketing' =))

I believe I probably do have a bunch of copper piped radiators/heat sinks that would work for you. Maybe shoot me a pic of the exact ones you like and I can start saving them for you.

I do get in a decent amount of monitors. What sizes are you looking for?

April is my next scheduled trip to california but I am hoping to have 30+ CPU's for you well before then. I will keep you updated as I find the computers for you.

Glad my packaging was acceptable. Lots of good bubble wrap is cheaper than insurance and a LOT cheaper than getting returns lol.

Heya =)

I just put up a page with photos of the type of radiators I like for the Dell OptiPlex MT models 755 & 760 here:
https://justpaste.it/7tar0

I'll put up a favorite monitors types list soon, and really the bigger the better, given it's shiny (not frosted) screen & nice picture =) It gets to be a price issue though sometimes as bigger ones tend to cost more.

Full HD 1080p & other things are nice, but it's better to have some 'oddball' resolution with good color and brightness and 'correct gamma balance' than go by size and resolution. It's about realism, for a vibe like looking through a window instead of 'staring at a screen'. Also since neither of the PCs I mention have HDMI out, so preferably the monitors have VGA &/or 'display port' input.

To judge monitors quickly I have some cool wallpaper & other photos (See attached). This 'Maui' one is sized for the screen I am on right now. Note it's not really how the image looked before I tweaked it. The source was very over saturated and dark, with messed up gamma & colors:
http://www.wallpapermania.eu/wallpaper/beautiful-holiday-destination-hawaii/2880x1800
Short link:
https://bit.ly/2mCkqnN

Then add to this custom gamma tweaking on the video output from the PC and looks very 'you are there' style like staring through a window =8^D

It's helpful to have great video because then people keep rental stuff longer to watch movies and Netflix & other things ~ better than a typical 'modern' machine or laptop.

U Get Dell Precision T3400 Too? RE: Sent Payment For Your Drives =) RE: Clarification... FW: Your Ebay Ad = U Have Mor $amsung HD204UI Drives? =)
From: Sir Plexalot [blabla@live.com]

Recently got some more 'street treasure' (free stuff people leave outside on the sidewalk =) & the Dell Precision T3400 have the same audio chip as the OptiPlex 755 MT & Optiplex 760 MT. Some Googling reveals it SEEMS the Dell OptiPlex 780 MT ALSO have the same 'AD1984' chip, but I can't find any 'closeup' images or other direct confirmation of this.

Long story short, would be nice if you can put asside (until your April trip through California?) whatever Dell models as follows:

OptiPlex 755 MT
OptiPlex 760 MT
OptiPlex 780 MT (Note, all 3 of these so far look about the same)
Precision T3400 (tentative =)

I never bothered looking into the 780 before as they were more expensive, but in bulk and stuff maybe can do any of these models for the same $25. They're all very slow 'obsolete krap' by modern standards (but sound good =)

I notice there are some good deals on 'higher' models of the 'T' series but they have other problems, like crazy mini 'screaming' type fans, tiny radiators, & other stuff that makes them not suitable for my particular 'audio rentals' applications.

So, if you could put any of those 4 models listed aside for me that would be great =) I'll try to get a monitor page together soon, which you may find interesting for your own use too ~ what looks nice and is also cheap. I find everything with a 'frosted' (anti-reflective) screen is not worth considering, because the 'clear' (shiny) ones are much more vibrant & sharp looking (generally speaking). They also have more brightness ~ not 'spreading the light out' so much. It's funny how a lot of people moving to 'OLED' and other 'modern' flat screens don't realize a lot of the 'clarity' they are seeing is simply because they don't put those fuzzy coatings on their 'top end' gear = kind of a marketing trick LOL

Ive been over seas in Africa so I am just getting your email now. Adding the 780mt to the list will make it easier for me to get a good supply of CPUs put together for you. I do get the t3400 occasionally and I do believe you are correct about the higher models being to noisy with all their fans. The t7500 are really good for video and audio rendering because you get a combined 12 cores between the 2 xeon CPUs so its great for the price. But you wouldn't want it anywhere near a mic because its so damn noisy.

I am putting some deals together soon and I might have the 40(ish) CPUs ready for you as soon as next month but the issue will be delivering them. As of now I don't have a trip planned until late march early april but If I can find another reason to head your way sooner than that i'll let you know. With plenty of advanced notice so you can get the funds together.

Definitely let me know about monitors so I can start sourcing those for you as well.

I will keep you posted.

I put up some pages relating to the Dells & Monitors I would like =)

'Window-Like' Monitors 4 PCs! =8^D ~> https://justpaste.it/46jvs
So if you can keep a look out for those, or other similar things.

Since you maybe come across a ton of different monitor types, if you can let me know what others look as good or better picture-wise that would be great. The mounting system on the HP monitors is terrible. Looks nice but not very functional. Ideally I like mounting systems that are tall and very adjustable like the Dell 1708FP ...
https://www.google.com/search?q=dell+1708FP
Great how it easily & reliably goes to a variety of positions including high & with stability, but the screen is 'fuzzy finish' so would like something like that but big & with glossy screen =) Don't know if it exists 'retro-wise'. Sure could get new things like that from Dell but they're expensive =)) Like their '4K' monitors =P

~> Subject:

Dell & HP Bulk Pallet $uper-Deal Goodies?

~> Quick Version:

A lot of the stuff you are selling is available for free or close to it, so it would be great the more 'cheapies' you can add to the pile. At least it keeps them from being DESTROYED and gets you something in the process too. I notice for example a lot of 'freebie pallets' FULL of models I like basically free on Ebay (like some ridiculous number $20-$100 for dozens) but in larger cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, etc..

Maybe you can pick some 'Freebie Pallets' up for yourself & add them to my buy along the way? No need to leave stuff 'Back Home' or 'Sitting Near Your Route Somewhere' collecting dust and then trashed because nobody else really wants them. I'll take them! =8^D Also please don't do anything just for me if you already have 'Local Guys' or 'Contact$' to buy whatever, because who knows... between now & then (when you plan to make a run through California) I may find some big 'Freebie Piles' like what I am looking for and get those instead. People literally give this kind of stuff away all the time, but bulk lots are more scarce around my location because I am not near a major 'Metro Area'. I discovered the Dells by 'Accident' trying out '$treet Tra$h' & they happened to sound really nice! =))

~> Trade Options:

If you like, let me know and I will send you a list of locations with stuff available like this. I used to work in the computer and audio business long ago and am good at finding 'oddball' items, or whatever you may need ~ like a broker but I can do it maybe to help get a break on price, trades, etc. I have a lot of gear in storage too by the way =D Could you use a bunch of random computer stuff? LOL I can help you find any particular item(s) you may be looking for 'Out In The Wild'. I actually really enjoy 'Searching' & '$hopping' ~ I guess like 'Hunting'? =)) Scroll down to the end of this message if you want to check out some links about this.

~> Detailed Version:

I don't know how 'Far And Wide' you go on your travels acquiring 'old recycling' computers and stuff, but really the more you can get the better. I mainly flip houses and this is a hobby I like ~ configuring & lending out & renting 'old but nice' systems =) Anything within the 'Model Ranges' I list that you can 'Throw At Me' for dirt cheap or less would be great. Certainly beats 'Mulching' them at the dump (DESTROYING them) yes? =) I will (eventually) 'UP-cycle' them.

I currently get stuff free off the street that people leave around, and also through 'Donation' ads I put up on Craigslist where people drop things off in front of my garage any time, but since there are certain models of particular Dell PCs I really prefer I would rather concentrate on those ~ or other brands & models with the same or similar sound chip(s) ~ which I listed here:
Natural-Sounding Dell PCs =D ~> https://justpaste.it/5gjb1
'Window-Like' Monitors 4 PCs! =8^D ~> https://justpaste.it/46jvs

It may sound silly, but I like the idea of 'preserving' these Dell models, in part because the chips on them were not availble on add-in cards that can be put into other modern systems. Despite their slow 'obsolete' speed & lack of 'latest greatest' features the SOUND QUALITY is better than on modern ones, which typically use Realtek or others that force resampling to 48Khz, which causes aliasing distortion in CD style audio 'MP3 Music', causing a harsh character to the sound that makes it seem less realistic.

'Super-775' CPU 'Retro-Fast' Product Idea 4 U =)

We All Know The Tale Of 'The Tortoise & The Hare'
But What About 'The Rabbit & The Beast'?
Don't Count The Rabbit Out Just Yet...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tortoise_and_the_Hare

'Super-775' CPU 'Retro-Fast' Product Idea 4 U =) The 'Socket LGA775' is Super-Common & it would be great if somebody did a run of fast ones to make old 'junk' PCs into 'The Latest Greatest' again =) Making CPUs is a 'Photographic' type process so costs them the same (pretty much) regardless of the complexity of the design as far as manufacturing.

In other words, why not simply stack a bunch of 'Mobile X86 Cores' into an LGA775 'Form Factor' (Socket type interface) so instead of getting a 'Passmark' around 2,000 can get one around 5X the speed for about $30 brand new? I'd certainly buy them, and think of all the BAZILLION$ of people world-wide (like Africa & Asia?) who would also LOVE something like this =D

An Intel 'Core i7-4790S 3.2Ghz' has a Passmark of2,260 (single thread) & 9,626 (all cores driven). That is of course a different 'Pin Layout' & stuff, but what about simply DUPLICATEING (with smaller 'process' so traces fit & same 'TDP' as the i7) the same 'guts layout' (but more cores) as the 'Core2 Duo E8500 3.16Ghz' which has a 'Passmark' of 1,322 (single thread) & 2,313 (all cores driven). In other words, stack 4 of those in the same 'Casing' as the 'E8500', but smaller traces inside (so same low 65 watt max 'TDP' power consumption/heat =) I suggest the 'E8500' because they are the best 'speed to heat ratio' of the 'Socket LGA775' line.

More details:

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-4790S+%40+3.20GHz

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Duo+E8500+%40+3.16GHz

Maybe even employ some 'Crazy Idea' like stacking 'Low TDP' cores to get a WILDLY MASSIVE performance increase within the 65 watt 'threshhold'?

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/power_performance.html

These burn only 7 watts...

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-8200Y+%40+1.30GHz

& have a 'Passmark' speed of 4339. How about stacking NINE of those into an LGA775 cocket chip? =) that would give people a 'Passmark Speed' of 39,051 IN UNDER 65 TOTAL WATTS! = WoW! =:-o It's more than 'Possible'. It will ABSOLUTELY work, and THEN SOME because the 'i5' is a much more complex design than the 'Core 2 Duo'. I wager you could actually reach a much HIGHER Passmark than even that due to the 'Reduced Instruction Set' of the 'Old' socket layout. That's faster than a Xeon W-3175X @ 3.10GHz with 28 cores, & instead of WASTING 255 watts, it would only use 65!

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Xeon+W-3175X+%40+3.10GHz

So as you can clearly see, the industry PURPOSELY CRIPPLES the potential performance of machines, same way the $oftware vendors do, often going in REVERSE (slower) performance as things get 'newer'. It's a $CAM! More on that here...

((= Programmable Retardation? =)) [Chooze Tha' Path Of Awe$um]
https://justpaste.it/3o78j

\= Portable Insanity? =/
https://justpaste.it/65n8p

On & on... just yesterday I was lookinto why Chrome web browser has a CPU-hogging issue burning 'lsass.exe' process when launching. Turns out it is an 'error/bug' in the Micro$oft 'WebKit' API or whateverthehell ~ 2 cripple non Microsoft browsers???... like what? How they purposely crippled the shell back in Windows '98 days & IE6? In fact, each so-called 'up'-grade actually made things slower & less reliable. It was a TRICK to try & FORCE people to switch to 'Windows 2000' & other things (& generate 'Cu$tomer $upport Call$' LOL =))

It's like how Apple goes & DOWNgrades performance on 'their' iPhones (without customer permission) when a newer model comes out... then says 'We R doing them a favor by saving battery power' LOL!! So many similar $cam$ happen 'behind the scenes' people don't even realize ~ like with CPU SPEED, SOCKET TYPE, & TDP! Do we really 'need' to 'RE-Buy' everything 2 fit some 'Latest Greatest USELESS' slot on a crazy motherboard that can't make up it's mind? 32 Bit PCI is fine for most things. I really miss the days of 8 slot boards with 7 of them (the non-video 1's) actually being flexible & USEFUL because they were all THE SAME! =D The same $CAM happens with CPU sockets!

So yeah long story short, it would be VERY EASY to make 'Socket LGA775' CPUs that actually FAR EXCEED the performance of even the very 'High End Latest Greatest' CPUs, & the stats I just listed (combining 'mobile' tiny trace process for low power & old 'RISC' core duo layout for even more speed when stacked) prove all of it. Reminds me how I was selling multi-terabyte servers 'Back In The Day' running on Windows '95 & '98 (because '95 shell is even more stable if they don't need softwares with specific '98 'Function Calls' or whatever) & I contacted Micro$oft about this offering to send them one to show them how to do it, and they just ignored me. Why? because their goal is to PRETEND you 'need' some 'latest greatest (overpriced & even MORE buggy) thing =))

Same thing goes on in so many 'Issues' = people don't realize what is possible, because of all the 'Propaganda'. SOMEBODY (or group) could really make a FORTUNE by simply stacking 'old CPU layout' into 'More Cores' so people can DRASTICALLY UP-Cycle old 'garbage' machines. Also 'Saves Them From The Landfill' & all tha tother 'Green' jazz. There is no 'inneficient design issue' when the CPU is so efficient. Those old 'inneficient' machines become 'power SAVING machines' because their speed vs. TDP has been truly UPgraded =D

I don't know if you are interested in these sorts of things yourself, but either way please send this around. I'll be posting this online I guess to help with that. May as well DO IT NOW! =8^D HERE U GO! ~> https://justpaste.it/57zqz

Africa Note 4 U: The Big TOOBZ! Speakers Only Co$t About $300 To Make =)

Africa Note 4 U: The Big TOOBZ! Speakers Only Co$t About $300 To Make =)

Their performance is better than typical systems in the $20,000 (twenty THOU$AND) dollar range. I'm very familiar with that stuff as I used 2 work in stereo shops, from 'mass market' to 'high end' & so on. For example, there are 'cheap' PA (concert type) speakers that can go loud, but they all sound like absolute garbage (very harsh and fake) compared to these (in part because ALL horn drivers are inferior to direct radiators, because power has been cheap 'forever' so pointless) & because of 'boxy' colorations & so on (which tubes don't do, because they can't flex =)

There are also 'Audiophile' systems that can play loud and ALSO sound really natural, but WA$TE tons of $ on inneficient ways 2 get there, like an array or smaller drivers instead of just 2 really big (18" diameter) ones, + needing more drivers to cover midrange & stuff, which these do because the suspension can fulfill the same task if the driver is simply used from the back side so it is exposed (pointed down, it transmits 'omnidirectionally' similar to 'Ohm' and others =)

There is a problem though with tubes in that they tend to 'ring' a LOT. There are ways around this though, and I've solved them in very cheap efficient ways. Basically the key is to break things up inside so nothing is symmetrical in terms of what could resonate in there, especially horizontally. I don't know if you are interested in audio type stuff but there are lots of tricks there to save money, like how Wilson Audio buys used Crown equalizers & then REMOVES features from them and jacks up the price =))

http://paulrand.coolpage.biz/NeptuneHolographics/compare_neptune.htm#more1B

The big subwoofers in the corners behind are loaded with 18" JBL PA speakers. Their big 'XS' subwoofers use 'Aura' types. I've tried those too and though they go louder they don't sound as good into the midrange. They also (over time) have a 100% failure rate, so best avoided LOL

https://www.google.com/search?q=wilson+audio+xs+subwoofer

But yeah, whatever the case, Africans are really into bass, and the big tube speaker design sounds very 'next level' way better than the 'boom car' or 'nightclub' thing they are used to. It can do 'boom' of course, but also play ACCURATELY ~ really great for movies and all kinds of different music = very 'Fast', with deep, thunderous, rigid, sledgehammer-like lows. I also play bass myself so a big fan of such things =D

I think it would be really easy to sell these all across Africa, where they can afford them of course. They're suitable for nightclubs too ~ the 'Dancehall' music & all that. If I'm paying $300 each to make them here, could probably do for half that if cut out the 'middle men' because these prices I paid for parts were from online retailers, not direct from the driver makers, etc.

& as for the 'Super-775 CPUs', imagine developing that 'stacked mobile X86' layout in private (not hard to do = just slapping existing tech into a different 'plug interface' so could go very quickly) & gathering up loads of 'obsolete trash' socket LGA775 PCs & then putting those 'Super-775' CPUs in them = they could outperform most 'cutting edge' stuff & U R getting the machines for free or close to it. You could make tons MORE money = FUN FUN! =D

Been over a week & no response @ all. I think the 'Super-775 CPUs' concept is a real winner & U can make BAZILLION$ on such a thing, AND through UPgrading 'old worthless junk' PCs with them! =D People are paying RIGHT NOW over $35 each for 'slow garbage' quad cores that R only 50% faster (Passmark score) than E8500.

Q9650 (about $35 or more on Ebay, each = WTF?! =))

Yeah OK they're more close to 2X faster = 1.8X =)) Still a JOKE compared 2 modern things...

Watts: 7 (Not 'seventy' typo. No... Just SEVEN!! =)
14 (FOURTEEN!) of these stacked in a '775 socket' package would only burn 98 watts max, so still within spec for coolers & power supplies on 'old worthless trash' machines, but the Passmark score would be (somewhere around) 14X4389=61446. That's about 30% faster than the fastest CPU currently made by ANYBODY...

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html

AMD EPYC 7742
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+EPYC+7742&id=3547

Intel's current fastest is not as good...
Intel Xeon W-3175X @ 3.10GHz
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Xeon+W-3175X+%40+3.10GHz&id=3420
Score: 33538

CPU building is a photographic, automated process. It takes the same amount of 'effort' to make a 'slow junk' CPU as a fast 'modern' one. The wafers they print them to are cheap too, etc. It's basically all profit except for the machines and engineering to make them. The product itself is cheap, artificially limited like diamonds & oil. The technology to make a CPU about TWICE as fast as Intel's very top model, using EXISTING tech they already have and sell RIGHT NOW (for mobile = the Intel Core2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz) is available RIGHT NOW and it's just a matter of contracting a run from them =)

It would make any 'worthless old junk PC' with a 775 socket about 2X faster than top-of-the line modern machines, except for some types of graphics which are 'GPU' intense (on the card =)) The main 'bottleneck' in most apps is CPU speed, not 'bus speed' or other factors.

N E waze, maybe U can connect me with some people if U R not into doing that. I'm also happy 2 spend my time helping arrange all of this FOR FREE at NO commission to myself, as far as 'logistics' and contacting various vendors with proposals (I got money ~ I don't need money). I would need to know totals on what people would pay though, like how many thousands (millions?) & how many units, & price per unit. I would keep it under $50. I think that's fair.

Intel or AMD or whoever really don't have to worry, because most people are so into being 'trendy' that they will refuse to buy old stuff even if they know it's faster, same way most guitarists will refuse to believe a 'Chinese knock-off' can be better than a Gib$on guitar... though they often really are LOL It's not about the name on the headstock! It's about what's INSIDE, like the woods, magnet types, etc. In other words, producing a 'retro upgrade CPU' won't get in the way of their 'mainstream' business. They won't lose sales on their 'latest greatest' even though it will still be SLOWER than the 'retro' thing we contract from them.

I think it would B GR8 if U could 'UPcycle' your entire 'fleet' U get through there @ your end. I care about them because some of those old sound chips sound really good and don't want to see them all destroyed. They're no longer made & not available on add-in cards =( It's like, if I were a classical musician, watching a bunch of great sounding old violins or whatever being burned LOL I want to at least 'preserve' what I can =D That's Y I made this groovy list!

I apologize for not responding sooner. Been super busy since getting back from my trip so please excuse me. I can definitely get you those monitors! As for redesign of CPUs...way above my pay grade lol. I haven't been buying much lately but that will start up again soon and i'll start setting aside monitors and towers for you.

Also wanted to ask you about some WD red and black HDDs 3TB and 4TB server grade drives. They are really nice drives that sell for 60-90 each on ebay. Well I made the mistake of doing a quick format on about 9 of these drives using DSKPRT and somehow they are now reading as 2046GB. No software I have tried using has been able to find the lost/missing partitions on these drives.

If you're interested in the drives I'd sell them for the same price as the last 2tb drives I sold you. I believe somewhere around 17-18 plus shipping? I can look that up on ebay.

Have you tried these fixes?
https://www.google.com/search?q=3tb+drive+only+shows+2tb&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1-ab
Short Link:
https://bit.ly/2r1SUlT

I've found all drives over 5400RPM & all drives by Seagate & WD (& Micropolis =)) have a 100% failure rate, so since only showing as 2TB & not certain I can get 2 show more (don't know if my 'tricks' will enable 'GPT' on XP or my 'old junk' hardware via overlay software or whatever else) then worth half or less what the Samsungs R 2 me = $10 each. The only reason any drive spins fast is to make it overhead & fail. Throughput is about aerial density, not platter rotation speed. It's all a big $cam.

Drive failure was never an issue 4 me B 4 every freaking drive was 7200RPM or higher (no choices except old tiny stuff). What a mistake = THOU$AND$ of $$$ WA$TED!!! ALL of them fail =P The Micropolis stuff, that was a 'media editing server' thing that would constantly accumulate dead spots = bad sectors, etc. = junk =)) very HOT 2!! slow spinning, but very physically large so didn't cool well, & bad design inside I guess. Doing the math the density was about the same as music CD surface HAHA Many big platters inside. If I were world dictator I would ban fast spinning drives! =D "Save The Data!" would B the slogan LOL

I would suggest looking into this 'GPT' stuff. May also B a hardware controller bit depth issue or something, which U can (maybe) get around with 'Drive Overlay' stuff, though don't know if that also works with 'GPT'. Everything I do is 2TB or less as the bigger Hitachi drives they say R reliable R noisy (compared 2 Samsung 2TB drives) so not bothered with those or the 'GPT' they use. I'd also B happy 2 mess with them all & C if I can fix them on my end & send them back 2 U. U just cover shipping both ways. I don't keep anything ~ just 2 help U out, & also it will help me learn new things = fun hobby =)

There's another thing about 'alignment' that may B causing issues with the GPT/MFT?? With 'Advanced Format' (forced 4KB minimum cluster size on these big drives) I always make a 64MB 'spacer' partition in front that is empty & not 'allocated' just 2 get them all on the same 'beginning' spot for all the partitions. Long story ~ doing up a page on this kind of stuff. Here R a couple screen shots from my main system:

Cluster Size Is Another Tricky Issue! =) RE: Did You Get My Messages? =) RE: 'Super-775' CPU 'Retro-Fast' Product Idea 4 U =)

4got 2 mention ~ there R limits 2 how many clusters can do in FAT32. Not sure what format U were using! I only use NTFS on 1 partiton pretty much, 4 downloading something some idiot made bigger than 4 gigs in a single file LOL NTFS is krap, but I don't know of N E 'upper partition' limit except something insanely big. I'm not an expert on that though as I don't use it 4 big stuff because it's garbage = very slow 4 checking & scanning, & much less reliable with the infinity layers of 'security accounts details' bull$hit on every file, plus their silly 'Master File Table' junk where viruses can implant & whatever else. Again, if I were world dictator, I would maybe start by banning NTFS! HA! =D

N E waze, I use FAT32 4 pretty much everything, but depending on partition size will change the cluster size between 4 or 16KB. Since 'Advanced Format' big drives have minimum 4Kb on the physical platters & I don't want 2 go 'emulated' nonsense where they can destroy each other by overlap if there is a 'bad shutdown' or something, then no point going smaller. 16KB stays well under the limit in 1.5TB.

Long story short, may try wiping the drives with some kind of 'low level format utility' from the manufacturer, then set them up as multiple small partitions. I would go like this (via 'Windows Disk Manager' utility in the OS:

64 Megs 'spacer' partition (can delete this later & leave as empty 'spacer' space 2 help 'align' things.

32760 (that exact number, nothing else) as the boot partition. Set it 'active' also. Use 'FAT32Format' utility 2 set to 4KB clusetrs FAT32 format after using Windows 'NTFS' B.S. (which they like 2 force).

525000 megs set to 4KB cluster size in FAT32. Again, U will B originally using NTFS, but as soon as U R done making the partitions, use the FAT utility 2 undo that damage =) Micro$oft even pretends U 'can't format larger in FAT32 = oh please...

All remaining space (whatever it is) in 16Kb clusters via FAT32 (after NTFS originally). If can't run a 'chkdsk' 2 show full space (U never really know until U try, because this stuff isn't well documented & even the documentation is often false) go ahead & try. You end up with more 'slack' (wasted space) with larger cluster size like 32KB+, etc. If U plan 2 do lots of small files instead of video, keep them smaller = 4KB =) Slack waste gets really significant with small stuff, like 2KB text files or whatever wasting 30KB just 2 write 1 thing LOL

So if U don't know what I mean ~ maybe it is not showing it all because it is a 'partition' type limit reather than a 'drive' limit? Eyedunno'! That's something I would find out on my end 4 U. & yes I've messed with 'MBR utilities' & stuff 2 tweak 'inside' the drive, but they R usually not necessary.

Oh also, very important = make all partitions 'primary', not 'extended' stuff. In other words, so can boot from them all (up to 4). I find it's easier 2 get data back from them if there is an error, because of how it is addressed in the MBR or something. I only ever have the first 32Gig one as 'active'. For multiple OS systems, I use multiple drives. That way there is no 'loader' issue that can fail. It's true 'redundancy' for the 'booting' at least =) Can also 'leap frog' back & fourth as U make upgrade changes 2 things 2 B sure everything works GR8 B 4 U back up the boot partitions with something like 'DriveImage XML'

Profit 4 U = $ell Your Dell$ On Fleabay With 2TB Drives? =) RE: Sent Payment For Your Drives =) RE: Clarification... FW: Your Ebay Ad = U Have Mor $amsung HD204UI Drives? =)
From: Sir Plexalot [blabla@live.com]

I noticed some people making a BIG profit on some old 'junk' Dells like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/172384725263
$300! = WTF? =)) & they R $ELLING! All he did was slap a $20 2TB drive in there! HAHA & a $10 (or less) 'utility' grade video card =P Good biz 4 U? Note they have a '1 year limited warranty' & bladee bla = basically, if something goes wrong can always just send them another machine, even a few times, & STILL making money, but it will never fail THAT bad or often LOL

Another example = combine with a 8GB SSD drive (unreliable krap), couple (random junk) 19" monitors, & (dirt cheap) keyboard & muse, & $10 (essentially) video card, + Windows 10 'license key' (which since it's an 'upgrade' is probably not more than like $30?) = $200 for OptiPlex 780 MT systems...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/332797061607
Well yea' I guess that 2'nd 1, though profitable, is not as big a money factory as the first 'utility tool $y$tem' thing with XP 4 people who NEED it =)

I'd B happy 2 show U how 2 do a good stable fast XP install with groovy trix if U wanna'. Maybe I can even refurb $y$tem$ 4 U? OH WOW I just had a brain wave... refurb in exchange 4 gear? =:-o $WEET! Just an option =D N E waze... How goze tha Dell kollectin'? Here's a page listing some models I like:
https://justpaste.it/5gjb1

It's funny how the Dell Precision T3400 R so plentiful on Fleabay, easily available N E time around $35 grand total (with no extra shipping) yet adding a 2 terabyte drive turns it into a $200 $ystem =)) WoW! So, U may think I'm just being silly with my offers, but like my main thing is flipping houses & I am not really in the 'retail computer business' maybe U 'just don't give a fuk' & want the $hit out the door? Kind of like when I buy a box of 80 fancy multi-DPI & extra switches Dell mice for about as many dollars ($100 or so) & they list around $10 or more, but DAMN a $5 (five dollar) 'bulk lot' (typical price per unit of Dell Precision T3400 on pallets, or less) & milking $300 = that's some GOOD profit ratio right there. Maybe U wanna' step up 2 that gravy train. Just an idea 4 U! =D

But yeah, even though that's not my fave model I should really get more of those. I've not even yet installed XP on the 1's I have. They come without drives usually =P Also there is the video card issue. They don't have onboard so kind of need 2 do shopping 2 figure out which is the best 'price/performance' leader so don't have 2 learn all the trix on a different card with each machine (time consuming). I could look into this 4 U, if U don't already carry lots of ones with cards already in them, etc. The whole 'takes full size cards' thing is nice in those, but really if U R gonna' B using a bigazz video card, there's not much sense using an old machine, because the super-slow (by 'modern' standards) CPU will still keep it from being a 'Cutting Edge' gaming system.

Oh back 2 my point... U really don't need 2 spend N E time installing CPUs or radiators or RAM into the computers I might buy from U. I can do all the 'labor' stuff here on my end. What is important is that they have the proper heat sink & shroud like here:
https://justpaste.it/7tar0
Can maybe also 'cannibalize' them from other models that don't have the good sound chip in them? U know ~ like swap them? Note if the CPU in there is fast it may overheat if given a smaller radiator, so maybe swap the CPUs while U R @ it? Well whatever, not trying 2 wa$te your time on N E thing. Hopefully U found the information on 'refurbishing for Fleabay $ale$' useful =) Here R some prices organized by type (what I would like 2 pay):

Summary: Don't need RAM or CPU upgrades, just make sure they all have the big 6 pipe radiator & proper shroud for it. I can get the RAM & CPUs on Fleabay dirt cheap (or U can always throw those in if U wanna, like the E8500). If U got fancy quad core let me know & can make a price list. Some of them R like $30 on Fleabay each, which is kind of silly as they R less than twice as fast as the E8500, which are literally pennies to a dollar each ( in bulk). All models listed here are 'Dell' brand:

$10 Each = OptiPlex 755 MT ~ Note: This is pretty much all I run now. I buy & collect them in bulk 4 almost nothing, & also get donations = yes as in free (Craigslist ads). They really sound glorious & work fine 4 netflix & DVD upsampling & even play HD, even 4K! Y do 'more'? I'm not a gamer nor do I rent gaming stuff, but audio stuff, which is mild on the CPU =) Examples:
https://justpaste.it/32kp3
https://justpaste.it/7i54j
https://justpaste.it/46jvs
$12 Each = OptiPlex 760 MT
$14 Each = OptiPlex 780 MT
$10 Each = Precision T3400 ~ I got 1 of these free on the street (how I discover most things =) but haven't set it up yet. Has good sound chip! =)
$12 Each = Dimension 9200 & XPS 410 (same machine different name) ~ got 1 of these but haven't set up yet. Got a spare mobo 4 1 2.
$14 Each = XPS 420 ~ Haven't tried, but forums online say no way currently available 2 get the LCD panel & wireless working =P It was 'Made 4 Vi$ta' LOL
$15 Each = Dell XPS 700, 710, 720 ~ pretty rare, like the 420, but 'interesting 2 try out' =D I really don't know if I will even like them, but Sigmatel surround has worked out 4 me B 4 better than the (fake non-surround) ADI chips, & everything from Realtek & Creative & the rest is even worse =P A lot of people also don't realize they can send 'dolby surround' stuff out via 2 channel audio, B it analog or digital. They do trix 2 fold it into stereo. People 4get these things =)) Then a nice preamp can 'unfold' it 2 other channels. They do weird phasing trix 2 tag the channels...
https://justpaste.it/4enwk

I mean $25 per machine U quoted B 4 really isn't bad, but a lot of these buys would just B out of 'curiosity' & it's not even my main business, + people give the stuff away, or close 2 it... just not usually all at once. I put ads on Craigslist & stuff for the OptiPlex 755 MT currently & they trickle in =)

It COULD B a good main 'refurb' biz I guess, like maybe U can start an 'Ebay channel' & sell the Dells @ $300 each & I just configure them 4 U 4 a $lice? =D FUN FUN! The fewer the types of machines... like if U stick 2 all & only the Dell Precision T3400, it could get super-efficient 'kuz all the bugs & whatever else could get well ironed out & everything is E Z 2 $wap (like the OS = can just mirror from another machine of same type after the 'master partition' is done). blabla...

Hope U find this stuff interesting. I type really fast =) I mean, I may not end up buying N E thing from U 'kuz my prices R very low, but hey if U R making a trip through here N E waze can maybe drop off a pile 4 some quik ka$h =D
http://www.bigolstorage.com/ (not =))
If U R coming I need 2 know when U will arrive so I can open the door 4 U & put them in my storage unit. U don't have 2 help unload or N E thing.

Oh yeah, as monitors go, do U know of N E with glossy (reflective clear, not fuzzy coating) monitors that have 'display port' input 4 cheap? Would B fun 2 run 'digitally' from like the Dell OptiPlex 760 & 780 that way, though VGA loox OK 2. Here's a monitors page:
https://justpaste.it/46jvs
May as well put up some pricing examples I would like 2 pay. All models listed here R 'HP' brand:

$9 = 1859m = 18.5" (less fancy color = no 'BrightView' technology included)
$10 = 2009f = 20" ('BrightView' tech not included = less vibrant = only good for high-glare environment)
$11 = 2009v = 20" (VGA input only)
$12 = 2009m = 20" (1600x900 = not 1080p HD)
$14 = 2159v = 21.5" (VGA input only)
$15 = 2159m = 21.5"
$16 = 2309v = 23" (VGA input only)
$17 = 2309m = 23"
$19 = 2509m = 25"
$20 = 2709m = 27"
Note: I tried putting up ads 4 these on Craigslist but I guess not many people have them? Very pretty 'bezel' design (is that what U call the frame?). The tilt & height & base design is not GR8 though, etc... many notes on the page there if U visit =D

My current main monitor I am using right now 2 write this is a 2009m = free off the street. Has a little scratch on the screen but interestingly after a while don't even notice it, except on a big flat medium color (prism effect in the line?) or a face (scarface =)) People don't like scratched stuff I guess, but I like 'working within limitations'. It's like a fun 'Puzzle Game' =D Oh, like ranking women HAHA

4got 2 mention B 4 ~ more Samsung drives?? I prefer the 2 terabyte model 'HD204UI made between 12-2010 to 12-20-2011 = NOT Seagate, for $20 each, and am ALSO open 2 other smaller models 4 a 'similar price per terabyte', like 1TB models for $10, 1.5TB models for $15, & so on ~ so long as made B 4 the 12-20-2011 Seagate buyout, after which it's hard 2 tell which R actual Samsung, or just rebranded $eagate trash. WD R also krap. I'm not saying they won't work, but in my experience all large capacity drives by them, regardless of model, have a 100% failure rate, often with no warning. I have loads of Samsungs & by contrast only 1 was flakey, & always warning me about it from the start, & still works (had 2 'isolate' a flakey section in it =)) GR8 drives! I did some research on them & the parts R made by loads of different people, like the heads R TDK, etc.

Heya =8^D

Did U get my recent message(s) about more Samsung HD204UI made B 4 12-20-2011 = NOT Seagate? =) Etc... Also, I think maybe cluster size stuff could help with your partitioning problem? Don't recall if I mentioned that. With 512KB clusters runs out of room! Also there is no point using N E thing other than 4KB or more because I've run tests on many kinds of things & it saves the most space on 'slack' AND the waste that comes from the 'header' whatever info. itself. The smaller the clusters, the more of them, & each has a 'tag' 2 locate it, so the capacity of the drive keeps shrinking as U go smaller. When U R past a terabyte or so 16KB is good, or more if U go with really big drives, but largest I use R the 2TB Samsungs =)

I would really LOVE 2 get larger capacity drives, but using other brands is either noisy (Hitachi, but almost as reliable), or unreliable ~ so regardless of price, having N E thing other than Samgung or Hitachi for large capacity drives is really like not having the data at all, because they WILL fail, 100% (in my experience) eventually = waste of time & $! IMHO N E drive faster than 7,200RPM should B banned, + make Seagate & WD pay 4 their conspiracy 2 'dump' drives 2 undercut the others then run the yearly flood through the industrial park 2 pretend 'shortage' 2 rape us, etc. (long story =))

Oh N E waze... check out this interesting page I found:
https://www.minitool.com/partition-disk/mbr-vs-gpt-guide.html

Also U may want 2 do sum biz W/this dood ~> lotz of quite cheap AND FAST $ystems 4 U? I was going 2 get some of the Dell OptiPlex 755MT long ago but they jacked the price from $20-$omething 2 over $30 each just B 4 bringing them up so I decided not 2 buy. If they R coming through here N E waze it's not like a big shipping cost 2 them (combined with other items on the truck). It's like with oil from the Middle East ~ I hear the shipping cost is pennies per gallon because it's done in bulk. So that's Y I offer U maybe what seems 'crazy low' prices, but when people R giving these away free or close 2 it locally (in small #, that adds up) I really don't 'need' 2 pay more. Well yeah here's their message ~ note they probably have MANY other types of systems U could ask about =)

I'm not saying those are bad machines you are trying to sell, but for SOUND and LISTENING to things, yes they are all absolute krap, just like EVERYTHING ON EARTH that uses a 'Realtek' chipset. They're a $cam in other ways 2, like they pretend 2 have 'surround capability' but it's a lie = straight up FRAUD. It doesn't meet spec. Some Analog Devices chips R the same way = 'fake surrount' $ham. It's quick 2 search this sort of thing simply by using google to pull up pictures of them, then search the model plus the word 'realtek' at the end 2 C if the official site lists that model as having that brand of audio chip, for instance 'Dell 7010 DT realtek'. BTW: I weas not able to find information on an 'HP 380 MT'. Doesn't seem 2 exist. Maybe U wrote it wrong & meant 'DL380' rack mount server?

I only want stuff with certain Analog Devices & C-Media/Sigmatel audio chips, and nothing by Realtek or others as every other type of audio chip I've found in PCs either sounds total krap or won't automatically match to source sample rate. It's really like a plague & should be outlawed (if I were world dictator =) For example, when playing CD style audio (like 'MP3 music') through ANY of the PCs you listed, because they ALL use Realtek chipsets, it will force them to resample from 44.1Khz to 48Khz output instead, causing 'aliasing distortion' & awful, jagged & annoying trashy hashy sound. Companies who release things with a driver like that so bad it won't auto-switch should be banned. Also, anything smaller than a 'tower/full desktop' style (IF it has a big 'radiator' for the CPU) is super-noisy when driven hard, so pointless. Remember, I use them for SOUND =)

http://paulrand.coolpage.biz/SirPlexalot.htm

I have expanded the list of things that meet my requirements though, as I did a bit more research into models that have both good sound and quiet CPU cooling (big radiators, etc.) here...

NOTE: There is a difference in the fans used 2! Some of the 'XPS' have 'buzzy clicky' style fans, whereas the 'Optiplexes' listed there R smooth (totally silent when low speed).

Long story short, for 'audio mixing/mastering studio' type stuff, the old 'garbage' Dells R really GR8! =) They're not 'fast' no, but 'fast enough'. It still has about 30% of the market, mostly because 2 do actual work people NEED it, & it's also the most flexible & widely compatible OS around. I try out other OSes about every year & they R all terrible compared 2 XP. 4 instance, Win 7 & up won't even run most of the great utilities I like to use. They are also a lot less intuitive & even more buggy (surprising that is possible? LOL) than XP! =)) It's not about perfection with machines. Because they R in business 2 keep people 'eternally switching' (re-buying the 'same ol krap') the defects R often put in there ON PURPOSE, so it's a matter of 'choosing lesser evils' =)) XP is GR8! & many other 'crazy high' prices that people R actually willing 2 PAY and VERIFIABLY so, so the (((I.R.$.))) can't pretend it doesn't happen! =D  All they need 2 C is LI$TING$ 4 those prices, whether or not N E 1 ever actually buy$ them! =)  They can then write it off 4 'Donation$' in that amount = deduction$ from the taxe$ =D  TOTALLY LEGAL!  Totally DO IT NOW! ~;D

Whatchathenk'?  U could post the ads yourself just by copying those I linked 2 there, @ same prices.  U could mod them some way (the text & description a bit).  Important thing is 2 $ave the ad$ 4 'Proof Of Value'.  I've already done all of this in case U haven't, & I could certainly 'UPcycle' them 4 U & act as 'Drop Shipper' if U like ~ now or in the future (like if U send me 'Freight' pallets via some other $hipper).  In other words, U do the Tran$action$ & I get a $lice = FUN FUN! =)

When I offer U $10-$15 for similar systems, it's not an insult or unreasonable or N E thing.  People literally dump them 4 FREE all over the place.  That does not mean of course that people don't pay MUCH MUCH MORE ($ometime$ =)  Just depends on the 'context'.  People get them cheap on Fleabay 2!  Example...

WTF with 'Window 7'?  Everything is absolute $hit compared 2 XP.  Hell Windows '98 is way better than 7!  & that's not a joke! =)

N E waze... can get them in bulk 4 a lot less than that (even on Fleabay), like $47 each for 9 units:

Well blabla ~ U get the idea, but really nothing supercheap on Fleabay right now with those 4 particular models I am giving as examples.  They do come up several times a year essentially FREE (or close 2 it) in BIG lots on Fleabay, like 'pickup' 50 units for $100 kind of thing.  Also, government sites sell stuff cheap 2, like pallets full of T3400 at around $5 each.

Just giving U some options maybe U haven't thought about =D  Seems there are literally bazillions of these machines out there, so if U don't want 2 $ell them 2 me low that's fine.  Maybe we can do something with a 'refurb / UP-cycling' arrangement?  Maybe I could get some that way = like pay me a $lice via some 'freebie' units.  Neat idea huh?  Half the fun of all this 'turning trash into treasure' thing is being able 2 take 'junk' & do something fab with it, like so...
https://justpaste.it/4enwk

& yea' I think U could get even a lot MORE 'Donation$' (as if U don't already?) by proposing 2 people this 'Tax Write-Off' thing (legally) deducting a MUCH higher value per unit than they would have ever dreamed possible otherwise.  Just do a bit of research there on Fleabay 'price range' in the $OLD! section & there ya' go...

ENJOY! =8^D

Yes that's Y I updated U with this price list, because I don't want you to put a bunch aside for me if you have buyers at a higher price, and since I can get a lot of these items FREE or close to it (but spread out over time) it doesn't make sense for me to pay more than the prices listed =)

I also sent a lot of great ways for you to maybe increase how many donations and stuff you get.  It's worth your time to read the stuff.  It could bring you a lot of extra business, like my stuff about configuring them then selling these 'old junk' PCs (they R not 'CPUs', but PCs = please use the right term =) for over $200 EACH on Fleabay! =D

I'm happy to help you, but if you won't bother to read the helpful advices there's not much I can do LOL
Mails (with tips & stuff 4 U): https://justpaste.it/5o5ju
Note: Advices about high priced Ebay marketing tips 4 U R near end.
PC list (with photos): https://justpaste.it/5gjb1

Did you go visit the Ebay ads where they are selling this 'old trash' for over $200 EACH?  If not, here are some relevant links (from the Emails list page), like Dell Precision T3400 $ELLING (PAID!) at $225 EACH! =)
https://tinyurl.com/srpcfml
$300+ each! =:-o
https://www.ebay.com/itm/172384725263
Can get these any time for like $5 each from government auctions! = WTF! =))
$217 each! =D
https://tinyurl.com/qq767jj
& so on! =)

Or maybe U R just PRETENDING U don't bother reading my messages, because U want 2 pretend I didn't give U these ideas?  And you are (instead of selling N E thing 2 me) hording them 2 $ell via Fleabay at those really high prices by duplicating their ad style?  I don't know LOL  I do notice people often run with my ideas.  That's fine.  There R plenty of these machines out there & I'm happy 2 help out =D

However, if U 'just don't give a fuk' & want 2 'dump' them, I can give U the prices listed.  I can also act as a 'drop shipper' 4 U like 2 configure them & send them 2 your cu$tomer$ after U $ell them on Fleabay.  I would get a $lice, or some 'freebie' machines in exchange.  EVERYBODY WIN$! =)

Stopped reading at 'tell me my business' =))
I am HELPING you with GREAT ways for you to make TON$ of CA$H! =D
U should adjust your attitude, because it would make you LOADS MORE MONEY! =)

I flip houses.  I don't need this computer stuff. I get it FREE!  It's FUN FUN FUN though 2 configure & 'UP-cycle' this 'trash' into GR8 $y$tem$, like so...

http://paulrand.coolpage.biz/SirPlexalot.htm

The messages that I send U R entirely relevant, like U asking me how 2 fix your 'useless' 3TB drives because U were having trouble getting them 2 fully format.  Then U mail me saying U 'can't B bothered 2 read N E thing' (essentially) which is just silly, but hey whatever floats your boat man =))

I can buy stuff at the prices listed.  Please send the note around.  The systems are totally worthless to some.  I can get them any time from government auctions in other areas (if I cared 2 drive there) for around $5 (five dollars) each...

Dell PCs:
$10 Each = OptiPlex 755 MT
$12 Each = OptiPlex 760 MT
$14 Each = OptiPlex 780 MT
$10 Each = Precision T3400
$12 Each = Dimension 9200 & XPS 410 (same machine different name)
$14 Each = XPS 420
$15 Each = Dell XPS 700, 710, 720

HP Monitors:
$9 = 1859m = 18.5"
$10 = 2009f = 20"
$11 = 2009v = 20"
$12 = 2009m = 20"
$14 = 2159v = 21.5"
$15 = 2159m = 21.5"
$16 = 2309v = 23"
$17 = 2309m = 23"
$19 = 2509m = 25"
$20 = 2709m = 27"

And here again are some tips you should try if you want to make a LOT MORE MONEY $elling them than U ever could 2 me, but of course it does take some actual work... but not much, like dropping them off with me and I can drop ship them 4 U after $ell them on Fleabay.  I just don't care 2 deal with $elling on Fleabay, but I have given U some specific verifiable examples U could emulate 2 get the $ame kind of $$$ = WAAAY more than U R getting now, like Dell Precision T3400 $ELLING (PAID!) at $225 EACH! =)
https://tinyurl.com/srpcfml
$300+ each! =:-o
https://www.ebay.com/itm/172384725263
Can get these any time for like $5 each from government auctions! = WTF! =))
$217 each! =D
https://tinyurl.com/qq767jj
& so on! =)

I'm here 2 HELP U & have fun upcycling 'junk'.  The kind of advice I am giving U is worth BAZILLIONS, like 4 instance the 'Super 775 CPU' thing, & trix 2 grab literally 50X what your stuff is worth in bulk...
https://justpaste.it/57zqz

U R in the computer biz yes?  So ACT LIKE IT and ORGANIZE some people 2 GET ON THIS! =D  Do it.  Do it NOW! =)  It's WAAAY worth it =D

Oh & speaking of 'competence', I didn't mention this B 4, but although U pack things very well U tend 2 ignore details U receive, like I specifically told U I wanted drives within a certain date & not outside it, then U send me ones outside it = exact opposite of what I asked 4, then I grab the rest that were of the proper dates, but whatever.  They're all so cheap it's not a big deal 2 install the firmware upgrade.

U should take a few hours out of your 'Bu$y $chedule' each week 2 read relevant, helpful information that customers send 2 U.  It's definitely worth your time, & if U can't read fast, then maybe forward it 2 somebody there in your 'abode' who can do it 4 U & give U a summary of interesting details U can choose from 4 further information.  It's good stuff ~ like this:
https://justpaste.it/46jvs

As a 'house flipper' if some 'random troll' online (or wherever) wanted 2 'tell me my business' & gives me relevant, helpful advice (like EYE have been doing 4 U, 4 FREEEEE!) I would THANK them, not just pretend I can't bother 2 read the good advice.  I don't go around 'attacking' U, but that's what YOU are doing 2 ME right now.  Snap out of it.  It's like starting off a conversation about Trump by calling him a 'nazi', meanwhile he spends half his time kizzing joo azz =))  Give me a break =D

L8R H8R! ~@~

Oh & yes, do forward my advices around.  I would LOV 2 do a 'drop shipper' thing with people on the Dell systems listed & monitors listed.  I wish 2 specialize in those systems & similar ones with that great 'magical accident' chip, & maybe discover some other 'hidden gems'.  It is FUN 2 HELP people.

U ranted...

Episode: Riding The Waves Of UP-Cycling
https://justpaste.it/5o5ju

I lov 2 giv GR8 advices.  4 example, this program is based on my advices (my ideas) given FREE 2 various programmers...
https://mpc-hc.org/

& Apple 4 instance, their switch 2 'X86' architecture, so can run both WinDoze & Krapple OSes on same hardware, etc., by modding BSD:
http://paulrand.coolpage.biz/NeptuneHolographics/index.htm

Note the minor spec error in the page 2 filter out trolls.  Can U find it? HAHA  But yeah I never even produced 1 of those systems.  I was actually marketing Windows 98 servers running bazillions of gigs.  Micro$oft says it can't B done, but it's just 2 try & force people 2 buy crippleware krap like NT or other 'industrial' bull$hit.  All U need is 'overlay' software.  The controller bit depth doesn't matter, but the DRIVER bit depth! =D  Oh wait, is that kind of information 'over your pay grade' like the stuff about CPUs?  Still calling PCs 'CPUs'?  Get a grip! =))

N E waze, I worked the computer biz growing up with my dad's biz.  He also was in real estate so learned about that.  Apple, U C, give them the idea like "Y R U not doing this like me?  I'm just some random internet nobody & with all your zillions of dollars you can't figure out?  Man ~ you need to hire some brighter people!" & so on... so gives them the 'idea' they think I am already doing, therefore makes them want 2 '$teal' it, meanwhile I invest in their stock & make loads of $ on their growth part of which I contributed 2! =D  Lots of examples like this.  I may be 'lazy' I guess, but I'm smart.  I just sit back & collect money, flip a house now & then (free rent), etc.

The stuff I tell U via E-Mail is very valuable & helpful & if U R not doing that already (& it seems U R not) U really SHOULD, because it's FUN 2 help people (like U) make LOADS of CA$H =D  That doesn't mean necessarily MY cash, but  U know ... lots of fish in the sea!  Half the fun 2 me is getting things free or close 2 it.  I don't need $.  I got $.

Curioius Y U call PCs 'CPUs' & don't want 2 'waste' your time making 6X+ more $ on the gear U R 'dumping' by the truck full, but that would make sense = a farmer who does it on the side like hooking up with freebie pallet guys on Craigslist & sorting out VCRs & whatever.  Google is loads of fun! =D  N E waze, an idea U might try 2 make the 'load' easier on U 2 $ell way more @ way higher prices is 2 hook up with the 'correctional' (prison) system & forward them pallets of things 2 list on Fleabay 4 U, & they get half (or whatever U 'negotiate'), & the prisoners can get a slice 2!  It's also helpful 2 teach them things they can do besides robbery & whatever when they get out = EVERYBODY WIN$! =D

I'd B totally into managing something like that but so far (only contacted a couple places) no response. It's a GR8 idea so maybe they R already doing it, or want 2 do it on their own & don't want 2 cut me in, or hoo noze.  I'd B into helping U out with it.  Can organize remotely like the tracking & databases & also helping train the prisoners (remotely via 'education' via E-Mail & pages I can post about listing & other practices).

Something 2 do when U R not busy castrating pigs (your words not mine =))
