What are the Sustainable Development Goals?
The Sustainable Development Goals are a set of 17 targets, each with a deadline for completion by 2030. The SDGs were agreed on by all countries in the UN in 2015, as a follow-up to the UN’s Millennium Development Goals, which had been set in 2000. The SDGs include all people, all countries, and all aspects of life: people, planet, prosperity, and partnership, and are focused on addressing the global challenges we face today and in the future. They have been translated into more than 90 languages, making them the most widely translated set of goals in history.
