Sankar Foundation has always been the best eyecare in Vizag. The institute was started on June 2nd, 1997 in a small house within a small room where only two beds could be accommodated for the patients. The government of Andhra Pradesh has recognized the dedicated services of the institute and allocated land for building a new hospital in the year 2004, the 1st of October.
Sankar Foundation has provided tremendous services for less cost for the people especially and free services to the lower level people. Their main vision was to cure as many people as possible and spread the awareness of good vision. Their services include general Ophthalmology, Cataract treatment, Vitreo-Retina treatment, Cornea & Contact lens, Orbit & Oculoplasty, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, Low Vision Rehabilitation, and many more services.
