Spring cleansing is a "need to", so it is always nice to have a couple of short cuts to get the cleaning done a little quicker in order to get back to the sewing space! The cleansing and dusting will no longer be a chore if you have a variety of "dust busters" offered to help you with the cleansing.

Take an old terrycloth towel that is no longer being utilized and cut a strip the length of the towel and 2 1/2 inches wide. Sew the strip with 1/4" seams and turn best side out. That same old towel can be cut into the shape of your dust mop, then add about 4 inches all around. Turn under a hem and run flexible through it. Slip the terry fabric "cover" over the dust mop and use that for getting the spider webs from the corners in the garage, or reaching areas that are tough to get to. And, as in the past, when finished, throw the cover into the washer to clean for the next time.

For a "broom duster" stitch 2 old hand towels on 3 sides, leaving one end open. Stitch flexible around the open end (flexible from disposed of panty hose pipe is just about the best size). This cover will slip over a broom to use for cleaning in those hard to reach places. As soon as again, when finished

just toss it in the washer and clothes dryer to clean it for the next time.

When doing an extensive home cleaning, it is much easier to do one job throughout the home, such as cleaning the fans in every room at the exact same time. Next you might dust and polish the furnishings throughout your house, and so on. By looking after the cleaning "item by product", the only cleansing materials needed are those for that specific task, rather than loading yourself down with all the cleansing materials in your home and dragging them from space to space.
