But Currently, the IVF procedure is now becoming one of the most practical and reliable treatments for all people such as Men and women and IVF success rates have dramatically improved.
In the IVF process, there are many other steps to complete the IVF.
You can understand the IVF process in these 4 Steps :
- Ovulation Induction - In Ovulation Induction, It is a fertility treatment that involves Oral or injectable medication to stimulate regular Ovulation. Doctors will monitor during the IVF process to ensure that you will release eggs to be fertilized at a particular time.
- Egg retrieval - Egg retrieval is a 15 - min surgical procedure. Under light pain medication, doctors inject a very thin needle into the upper vaginal wall and remove fluid, which contains eggs, from the follicles of the ovaries. After retrieval of the follicles, Immediately the egg is placed in a dish and transferred to the incubator.
- Fertilization - In the Fertilization process, Sperm that is collected by your partner or sperm donor is combined with the retrieved egg. Sometimes, doctors choose to directly inject sperm into the egg and start monitoring the process of fertilization to make sure a healthy embryo will develop.
- Embryo Transfer - Embryo transfer is a part of the IVF process. Once the Doctor confirms that the embryo is developed, women need to go to the clinic. The doctor will insert a long, thin, and flexible tube called a catheter into the vagina, through the cervix, and into the vagina. The syringe contains one or more embryos in a small amount of fluid to the end of the catheter and is placed directly into the uterus.
After the Embryo transfer, you can resume daily activities but make sure to take some precautions. Consider avoiding vigorous activity, which could cause discomfort.
