P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School in Gainesville, Florida has implemented a clear bag policy for all spectators attending sporting events at the school. The policy went into effect on July 16, 2023.

Under the policy, all bags brought into the stadium must be clear plastic and no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. A small clutch purse is allowed (which does not need to be clear) but must not be larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.
The purpose of the clear bag policy is to enhance security and make it easier for security personnel to screen bags at the entrances to the stadium. The policy also helps to reduce the number of prohibited items that are brought into the stadium.
Prohibited items under the clear bag policy include:
- Backpacks
- Hard-sided containers
- Coolers
- Large bags
- Any bag that is larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches
- Any bag with a logo that is larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches
Spectators who violate the clear bag policy will be asked to return their bag to their vehicle or dispose of it. There are no exceptions to the policy.
The clear bag policy is in effect for all sporting events at P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School, including football games, basketball games, and soccer games. The policy is also in effect for all other events held at the school, such as concerts and graduation ceremonies.
