"HERE WE GO" Van der Beek close to signing Frankfurt lease...medical test→signing later today

Donny van der Beek will eventually leave on loan.

"Donny van der Beek will sign for Frankfurt today after completing a medical," Fabrizio Romano, a reporter familiar with the European soccer transfer market, said on Sept. 19 (Korean time).

Van der Vaart was once expected to anchor Manchester United's midfield. He usually plays as an attacking midfielder or central midfielder. Basically, he's a very active and mobile player.

He did well at Ajax. In the 2018/19 season, he scored 17 goals and provided 13 assists in 57 games, showing a great ability to produce offensive points. Ajax won the KNVB Baker. In the UEFA Champions League (UCL), he was at the center of Ajax's run.

Naturally, he was targeted by big clubs. Manchester United, Real Madrid, Liverpool, and others were in the running for Van der Vaart.

He chose United. It was a decision that changed his career forever. In his first season, he struggled with one goal and two assists in 36 appearances. He didn't play to his potential as he struggled to gel with the existing players.

His playing time gradually decreased from there. In 2021/22, he made 14 appearances and was sent out on loan to Everton in the middle of the season. Last season, he played just 10 games. Most of them were substitute appearances.  토토

This season, he played even less. He was linked with an outright loan move to Real Sociedad, but the deal fell through at the last minute and he stayed with the team. He has played 21 minutes in two games this season.

Still, there were teams looking for him. According to the UK's The Sun, Juventus were after both van der Vaart and Jadon Sancho at the same time. As a result, van der Vaart will be joining Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany instead of Juventus.

However, it's a loan move, not an outright transfer. According to Romano, the loan is until next June. He"ll wear the Eintracht Frankfurt jersey until the end of this season.

Depending on Van der Beek's performance, his destination could change next year. There is an outright transfer option in the loan agreement, but it's not mandatory. Frankfurt can try him out and if they like what they see, they can buy him.
