Silkscreen printing is the best option for designs that need a high level of vibrancy, when printing on dark shirts, and for specialty products. Silkscreen printing in Singapore works well when 2 color designs are used. 3 color designs can also be printed but it can be quite expensive. If you are interested in multiple colors, consider a label or a heat transfer process.
There are many steps involved in Singapore t-shirt printing process which includes:
- A screen is created which is then stretched tightly over a wooden or metal frame. The screen is stretched to a particular degree of tension. It can also cause a blurry image when a screen is too loose. And, if the screen is very tight, it can negatively affect the printing process and it peels away from the wood or the metal frame.
- Then, the screen is coated with emulsion which is light sensitive.
- Next, a film positive is taped to the emulsion-covered screen, and then the screen is placed on the lighted area. The emulsion is then put to the light, which hardens the emulsion in all uncovered areas.
- Following the exposure time, a screen is washed, and all emulsion covered by the film's positive washes out, which leaves the image burned on the screen.
- Then, a semiautomatic machine is set up to print a specific container with the specific image which was already burned into the screen. Then the screen is also placed on the machine.
- Silkscreen printing in Singapore uses the ink to pass through the holes in silk following the shape of the image that was previously burned into the screen.
