The Product Designing Mistakes On Should Avoid

Adding little but important elements to your product design will take you a long way before you reach out to the final stage of manufacturing your prototype. We have observed that when the team starts working on a project, the idea of the product, the scope pf the project and other things are pretty clear. However, as they start moving ahead, the focus shifts and problems occur. The team starts with one design, come up with something else in the middle, they try to come back to the original one and after so many to and fro sessions, the final design turns out to be something else only.

Why do this happen even when the things were too clear from the beginning? This is because there are certain common mistakes most of the product designers in India are committing. After a long discussion and brainstorming, our team has come up with some common mistakes that should be avoided during the stage of product development:

Following a tunnel vision:

Every product is created to solve a real-life problem. It does sound easy, doesn’t it? However, the catch is that you must solve the actual problem without creating another one. Creating more problems while solving the first one makes life difficult for the product designers. You need to avoid this by doing an extensive research before starting with the designing.

Imperceptiveness – you are not the target audience:

While designing the product, the designers think themselves as the target audience and create the product as per their own whims and fancies. In reality, the target audience is someone else and they might not like what you have created. There is no need to think out of the box and move out of the given comfort zone to create your product.

Superficiality – design should be nothing but perfect:

Many of the product designers want the product should be perfect always. Nothing is perfect in this world and this notion of being a perfectionist is wrong. Brainstorm well, come up with new ideas but be open to errors and try to deal with the errors with a calm and composed mind.

Distractions – solving the wrong problems:

Last, avoid distractions. Some product designers forget the main aim of the product designing and flow away in making it as attractive as they can. You must never forget the main purpose of the product.
