The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education(MSBSHSE), Pune is an Independent body which is established in 1965 under the Act 41 and revolted in 1976. With this amendment, the name of the Board changed to its present name - Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
This examination is conducted by the board twice in a year. You can also have a look on 10th/SSC Exam Time Table 2022 Maharashtra to prepare well for examination. Around 14 Lac’s students appear for HSC and 14 Lac’s students appear for SSC in main examination of the state. HSC Functions performed by Board:
- This board lay down the standards for formulation and implementation of guidelines given by the center board.
- It also plays an important role for designing the syllabus or curriculum of all the It also give instructions about textbooks, exam schedule, and type.
- The board also take the responsibility for conducting examination under a fair supervision.
- It also give instruction in designing and publishing textbooks, scoring of the centralized tests, and behave equally with everyone with out any partiality in case of any conflict.
Divisional boards
Nine divisional boards representing the state board are Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Amravati, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune, Latur and Konkan, . The main responsibility of divisional boards are:
- Take the process of assigning the conductors, transportation, examiners or evaluator, the custodians, paper setters, translators.
- Take the decision about schools/colleges to conduct the final exams.
