When Apps Used for Piracy

When most of the apps are telling high security features and end to end privacy, how can we be sure that they are not being used to copy a licensed product for distribution and usage or pirating any files for everyone to see?

In today's cyberworld of securing every information we have online, developers must assure the public that their data is being stored in a secured place wherein only users and their receivers can access it no matter what.  Whatsapp, Flashat app, Telegram, Signal Messenger and Wickr Me are one of the instant messaging apps that offer highest security when it comes to message deliveries.  All of them are saying that user’s messages are protected with a special key to open, read and submit any forms of data to their receivers.

With these high security features that most of the app developers are providing, these can be used to deliver any malicious and inappropriate messages that the developers can’t see nor the government (which they don’t have control of). In a research made by Technology Policy Institute, many individuals are watching pirated video contents rather than supporting and watching them on cinemas and actual release dates,  the less legal video content they stream are only on average percent.

Piracy is a complicated and multi-faceted phenomenon. People who stream content illegally are seen as a direct threat by the entertainment industries, but many of these pirates have paid subscriptions as well. We hope that app developers could do something in this situation as the entertainment industry will shut down if this will continue. Yes, it is good that we have a concrete security that no one can break our messages but we should be responsible for not supporting illegal activities online. These contents are free and enjoyable to use but they are not legal as per law.
