The UN General Assembly and its 193 participating countries adopted a global development vision in 2015 that aims to transform the world with its 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and 169 targets. These sustainable goals are to be met by 2030. The SDG goals are a set of plans of action for the well-being and prosperity of people and our planet. Over the course of fifteen years, the strategic SDG action plans the SDGs endeavor to stimulate global action on critical issues that concern humanity and Earth.
