How to install QuickBooks for Mac?

If you are a Mac user then here is wonderful news for you that Intuit has released QuickBooks for Mac. With this, you can easily track expenses & sales, manage account payables, and create professional invoices. Follow the below-mentioned steps to set up QB Desktop for Mac.

 

Step 1 - Check whether your system is compatible with this new version or not

Discover the requirements of your PC and make sure that QB can be set up hassle-free.

 

Step 2 - Note down the product number and license number

Check out the confirmation e-mail for these numbers if you have downloaded QB. if the user has purchased a physical copy of QB, then scratch-off the label on the packaging to get product and license numbers. 

 

Step 3 - Download QB for Mac

To install QuickBooks for Mac, implement the following steps.

  • Users have two options to install QB; either download it from the official site or insert a CD in your system. If you are unable to download the installer, then prefer to use a different browser or clear the browser cache or cookies.
  • Shut all the running programs after that.
  • Now, you have to perform a double-click on the downloaded installer.
  • If you want to install it via CD, then insert the CD and you will see an installation window.
  • Next, to the “Applications” folder, drag the QuickBooks icon. 
  • After this, apply a double-click on the QuickBooks icon to open the application.

Proceed to the next step to install QuickBooks for Mac.

 

Step 4 - Upgrade your company file

To work efficiently and appropriately in this version of QB, make sure to upgrade your company file.

  • In this latest version, open your company file.
  • You will see instructions on your screen that will suggest you update the company file. Click on the “Upgrade” option.
  • A message will pop up on your screen; click on the “Ok” tab.
  • To ensure that your company file is updated correctly, check your reports, accounts, and balances.
