Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a medical condition that causes extreme fatigue or tiredness that does not go away with rest and cannot be explained by an underlying medical condition. CFS is also known as myalgia encephalomyelitis (ME) and systemic exertion intolerance disease (SEID).
