Best Answer: This is a great essay to write. "Endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights. . . . among these are life. . ."
I think another point you could make is the pain felt by the mothers. This isn't why abortion is wrong (murder isn't wrong because the murderers will feel bad afterward), but it is an argument which can convince some people against it.
Read some stories of women who have done this and regretted it for life.

Rape and incest are no excuses for abortion. The baby is still innocent. Many republican politicians make this exception because they are afraid of media backlash, but really abortion is never okay.
Good luck with the essay.
This is difficult because opinions vary. Some say life begins at conception, some say life begins when the heart starts beating, some say life begins when it can survive outside the womb (around 21 weeks is the youngest to survive outside the womb). And some believe life begins when they are born.
Personally, I am for abortion (though I don't neccesserily believe it is the right thing to do).
And the murder issue is intertwined with the life issue. You cannot murder something that is not alive, and if you don't believe life begins until it can survive outside the womb, then murdering an embryo or fetus before it is viable would not be considered murder. So that argument is difficult to prove unless you can solve the worldwide debate of when life begins.
Personally, I believe that life begins when the heart starts beating and blood is pumping round the body. But that does not mean I am right.
Have you had a good think about the other side of the debate? It may help you answer things on your side of the debate. I guess because I believe that abortion should be available I am a little biased.

arguments against- 1)In the instance of rape and incest, proper medical care can ensure that a woman will not get pregnant. Abortion punishes the unborn child who committed no crime; instead, it is the perpetrator who should be punished. 2) Medical problems and complications later in life 3)"1.Since life begins at conception, abortion is akin to murder as it is the act of taking human life. Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life" For abortion 1)At times, abortion also helps in keeping a check on the size of the family. It can serve as a potent tool to undo mistakes, thereby preventing mothers to be forced for raising a child at a young age. 2)If a woman has a medical condition that will make pregnancy dangerous for her, an abortion may be beneficial. This is especially true of an ectopic pregnancy (in the fallopian tubes) - you must have an abortion to end this type of dangerous pregnancy. 3) If the fetus is diagnosed with severe birth defects or with a condition that will most likely result in death shortly after birth, an abortion can prevent suffering.
