Super 7 Blackjack Basic Strategy and Rules

Super 7 blackjack is a side bet added to a standard game of blackjack. The basic premise is you put a small stake on the optional bet on you getting 7s of the same or different suits with varying levels of paying out. The drawcard with playing this game is if the first three cards in your hand are sevens of the same suit you will receive odds of 5000–1.

Other than the inflated payouts for all things 7, the game play is the same as a standard game of 21 with the aim to get as a close to 21 without busting. You then obviously need to beat the dealer’s hand. A standard game with these rules will payout blackjack at 3–2.

The very first thing you need to know is that placing the side bet is a horrible idea. As stated above, the house edge on this wager is an abysmal 12.61%. Unless you have a sack full of extra cash to throw away, don’t do it.

As for the base game, you’ll find three strategy charts below. Each chart is designated for deciding different types of hands hard hands, soft hands, or paired hands. Choose the appropriate chart for your hand type, select your current total, then look to the right of the chart to determine the correct action based on the dealer’s up-card.

The number of hands you play will not effect the RTP, nor will card counting since there are 6 decks in the shoe being reshuffled after every hand. Following these charts without err will grant you the highest possible theoretical RTP of 99.54%.

The side bet, Super Sevens, in blackjack has three variations:

Super Sevens,
Crazy Sevens, and
Lucky Sevens.
