According to reliable sources, developers at Harmony Cove Resort in Trelawney are considering using a 'Las Vegas model' that includes a mega gaming lounge, a facility that can hold more than 1,000 video lottery terminals (VLTs).
"In a parliamentary submission for the current fiscal year, which runs through March 31, 2008, the Jamaican gaming regulator Betting, Games and Lottery Board (BGLC) said the 'expected emergence of mega gaming lounges' would provide continued growth in the sub-sector, and is now estimated to generate 20 billion yen in annual sales.
"…The current Jamaican gaming environment features large, small operators (approximately 1,200 operators) with fewer than 20 machines and about 12 gaming lounges licensed to carry between 20 and 150 VLTs." 바다이야기
