Purpose of this is to answer any questions related to lag or how 2 players will battle each other
When playing, ensure that you only have open whatever applications that you need and close any you don't need
Set priority to high either through task manager or through the emulator settings
If possible, play with ethernet
Do not drag the game window
IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOUR ONS DISCORD NICKNAME, YOUR FIGHTCADE NAME, AND YOUR CHALLONGE NAME ARE THE SAME AND THAT YOU ARE ON FIGHTCADE WITH YOUR ACCOUNT SET TO ONLINE
Opponent disappears procedure
If by the end of the second streamed match of the round you are in you have not heard from your opponent you may advance yourself. If in losers, wait 10 minutes before you advance yourself.
IF YOU ARE PLAYING A MATCH WHEN YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYING AN OPPONENT AND YOU DO NOT HEAR FROM THE ADMINS WHEN WE ARE CALLING YOU TO PLAY, YOU WILL GET SENT TO LOSERS/SENT OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT
If you cannot find your opponent due to different fcn name
1. different fcn than challonge but same as discord: you get to play the game
2. different fcn than challonge and discord: you might get to play the game
3. different fcn than challonge but not in the discord: chances are you will be put into losers or sent out of the tournament
In the situation that there is lag or a game is unplayable here is what you do
Call a lag check BEFORE YOUR MATCH. We allow exceptions if you haven't finished your match.
But if you have finished playing and you call a lag check, it will not happen.
You are allowed 2 lag checks for the entire tournament, so limit when you call it to only when a match is very unplayable
Lag check procedures (game opens and can be played)
Ethernet - Ethernet: either play your game to the best of your ability or call a coin flip
Ethernet - Wifi: person on wifi loses the lag check and the person with ethernet advances
Wifi-Wifi: same as Ethernet-Ethernet
Lag check procedures (game cannot be played due to extreme lag or black screen)
You want to keep trying but if all else fails
coin flip if both players are on wifi or ethernet
whoever is on ethernet while the other is on wifi advances
