The Joint Entrance Examination (Main), often known as JEE Main, is a test used to choose applicants for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan programmes at NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs). JEE Main is also a prerequisite for the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced), which is required for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Every year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the exam in four sessions. The exam is held in 13 languages in all of India's states as well as various nations outside of the country.
