Win Rate King - KT 'lost' despite winning 2 games, trusted veteran mistakes...

The second game of the 2023 KBO Baseball Postseason between the KT Wiz and NC Dinos was held at KT Wiz Park in Suwon on the afternoon of the 31st.

KT players watch the game with determined expressions after being held to a one-hit shutout until the eighth inning.

The KT Wiz lost their second straight game despite pitching a foreign one-two punch of William Cuevas, the "Winning Percentage King" this season, and Wes Benjamin, the "Most Wins" (15). The mistakes of the trusted veterans were too much.

KT lost the second game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO Postseason Playoffs (best-of-five), 2-3, at KT Wiz Park in Suwon, South Korea, on May 31.

The loss puts KT in a precarious position, having lost both Games 1 and 2 at home. They will be eliminated if they lose even one game in Games 3-4 at NC's home stadium, Changwon.

It was a shocking second straight loss for the team, even with a foreign one-two punch.

KT lost Game 1 the previous day (Oct. 30), 5-9, despite sending Cuevas, who is 12-0 with a 100 percent winning percentage this season, to the mound. 카지노

Cuevas gave up seven runs in three innings. However, Cuevas only gave up four earned runs. Fielding errors created a butterfly effect.

Cuevas fell behind 0-2 after giving up a solo home run to Oh Young-soo in the second inning, but seemed to settle down in the third when he induced a grounder to Park Min-woo, the leadoff hitter.

However, it was dropped by third baseman Hwang Jae-gyun, and a shaken Cuevas gave up an RBI single to Park Gun-woo. He then gave up another single to Kwon Hee-dong.

The mistakes were costly.

In the second game the next day, KT lost the early momentum with a home run and an error.

Benjamin gave up a two-run homer to Park Gun-woo in the first inning, and while he seemed to catch his breath afterward, he gave up another run in the third inning on an error by first baseman Park Byung-ho.

After giving up a triple to leadoff hitter Kim Joo-won, Benjamin induced a grounder to Son Asub at first base to get out of the jam, but Park Byung-ho flicked the ball behind him, leading to an unearned run.

With the unearned run, KT lost the momentum.

With the batting lineup frozen, a three-run lead would have been huge.

They scored two runs in the last inning to pull within striking distance, but it was a shame to lose the early momentum.

In the end, KT lost their second straight game despite having the best foreign one-two punch in the KBO and had to travel to Changwon for a tough road trip.
