FSSAI

FSSAI stands for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. FSSAI is a body of government which is setup India to protect the health of nation. FSSAI provides food-related licenses to all the Food Business Operators who are interested in starting the Business of food.

FSSAI License or Food license Registration-

It is compulsory to issue an FSSAI license from Food Safety and Standards Authority of India fssai (FSSAI) before starting any type of Food Business transporting food.

Difference Between FSSAi license and FSSAI Registration

Licenses are of two types

State license

Central license

Registration is only of one type-

Basic fssai registration

Turnover limit for Central, State license and Basic FSSAI registration

For Basic Registration Turnover should be below 12 lakhs,

For State license your turnover should be between 12 lakhs to 20 crores.

For central license turnover should be More than 20 crores

How can you apply for fssai license or fssai registration

Step 1- We can apply for fssai license or fssai registration by going on the offical website portal of FSSAI-

https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in/index.aspx

Step 2- Thereafter we have to login or signup on the portal of FSSAI.

Step 3- After that we have to Choose which FSSAi license we have to apply for according to the turnover of yours.

Step 4- then you have to fill the form according to your fssai license you have chosen.

Step 5- Then you have to make payments you can choose different modes of payment like credit card, netbanking, etc.

Step 6- Then it will take specific days to reach you.

Time taken by Central, State license and Basic Registration to reach you

For Basic Registration it will take 7 to 10 days to reach you.

For State license it will take 30 days to reach you

For Central license it will take 30 to 45 days to reach you.

FSSAI license Cancellation Process-

If by any reason you want to cancel your FSSAI license or Registration you can easily cancel it by going on the official website portal site of FSSAI-

https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in/index.aspx

Note: You will not get any refund after the cancellation of FSSAI license. In the xcase of non-payment you will get refund.

FSSAI Registration or license as per the turnover is mandatory for all the FBOs to issue from the official website of FSSAI.
