A. FINAL SCORE MARGIN (max 3.5 points)

Based on actual distribution of score margins:

  • Margin ≤ 3 pts: 3.5 pts (15% of games — ultra rare and exciting)

  • Margin 4–6 pts: 3 pts (10% of games — very tight)

  • Margin 7–9 pts: 2.5 pts (around average — close)

  • Margin 10–12 pts: 2 pts (slightly above average)

  • Margin 13–16 pts: 1.5 pts (dominated but still watchable)

  • Margin 17–20 pts: 1 pt (mild blowout)

  • Margin > 20 pts: 0.5 pt (10% of games — very one-sided)


B. MARGIN AFTER Q3 (max 2.5 points)

Measures how tense the 4th quarter is:

  • Full comeback (trailing after Q3 but wins the game): 2.5 pts (spectacular!)

  • Q3 margin ≤ 3 pts: 2.5 pts (everything to play for in Q4)

  • Q3 margin 4–6 pts: 2 pts (open endgame)

  • Q3 margin 7–10 pts: 1.5 pts (still possible)

  • Q3 margin 11–15 pts: 1 pt (unlikely but possible)

  • Q3 margin 16–20 pts: 0.5 pt (nearly over)

  • Q3 margin > 20 pts: 0 pt (game already over by Q4)


C. GAME PACE (max 1.5 points)

Based on an average of 71.8 possessions per team:

  • ≥ 76 possessions: 1.5 pts (very fast pace — rare)

  • 73–75 possessions: 1.2 pts (above-average pace)

  • 70–72 possessions: 0.8 pt (average pace)

  • 67–69 possessions: 0.4 pt (slow pace)

  • < 67 possessions: 0 pt (very slow — defensive/boring)


D. LEAD CHANGES (max 2.5 points)

Number of times the leading team changes:

  • ≥ 20 changes: 2.5 pts (ultra intense game)

  • 15–19 changes: 2 pts (very competitive)

  • 10–14 changes: 1.5 pts (well contested)

  • 6–9 changes: 1 pt (some back-and-forth)

  • 3–5 changes: 0.5 pt (low suspense)

  • < 3 changes: 0 pt (complete domination)


E. OVERTIME BONUS

Overtime = guaranteed excitement:

  • Overtime(s): +2 pts (automatic bonus — guaranteed spectacle)


F. TURNOVERS — PENALTY (max –2.5 points)

Combined team turnovers, based on an average of 24.8 TO per game:

  • < 22 total TO: 0 pt (excellent control — good quality)

  • 22–25 TO: –0.5 pt (around average)

  • 26–28 TO: –1 pt (sloppy)

  • 29–32 TO: –1.5 pts (very sloppy)

  • 32 TO: –2.5 pts (chaotic, poorly played game)


G. FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE — PENALTY (max –2.5 points)

Combined team FG%, based on a 46.2% average:

  • ≥ 49%: 0 pt (excellent offensive level)

  • 47–48.9%: –0.3 pt (above average)

  • 45–46.9%: –0.6 pt (EuroLeague average)

  • 43–44.9%: –1 pt (noticeable shooting issues)

  • 41–42.9%: –1.5 pts (poor offensive quality)

  • < 41%: –2.5 pts (brickfest — very poor shooting)
