40 balls, 10 scoreless innings, "power"...But it's been a 0-0 draw for the first time in 11 years

Dogo pitched as a starting pitcher in a home game against the Chunichi Dragons at the Tokyo Dome on the 8th, allowing only three hits until the 10th inning of extra time and pitching hard with 11 strikeouts and two walks without losing a point. Chunichi starter Nakachi Leia blocked the Yomiuri lineup with three hits, four walks, six strikeouts and no runs in seven innings (99 pitches). Since then, seven bullpen pitchers have thrown until the 12th inning of extra time.

 

The game lasted three hours and 40 minutes. Chunichi had 23 players, including eight pitchers, and Yomiuri finished with three pitchers thanks to Dogo's responsibility for 10 innings. Chunichi batters had three hits and 15 strikeouts, while Yomiuri's batters had five hits and 12 strikeouts.

 

Meanwhile, Japanese media Sponichi Annex said, "The 0-0 draw for Yomiuri is the first time since the match against Hanshin (Koshien Stadium) on September 24, 2018, and the 0-0 draw at Tokyo Dome is the first in 11 years since the match against Hanshin on April 30, 2012."
