Bio: The child of failed Virginia-based indie wrestler Katie Bonds and her husband, longtime wrestling super fan Christopher Sands, Lucia grew up surrounded by a love of wrestling. Much of this stemmed from her bond with her godmother, the legendary Mickie James, who had met her mother when they were both young up-and-comers on the Virginia indie scene. With Katie’s career never taking off, she peacefully retired and developed an interest in computers, engineering, and programming, passions she passed down to Lucia. Realizing she was trans at age 10, Lucia's parents were very supportive and helped her transition to become the woman she is today. Lucia eventually caught the wrestling bug and decided to start training under Mickie at 16. She was moderately successful, but tragedy struck when she tore her ACL mid-match just before lockdown. Through the lockdown and healing process, Lucia had a lot of time to evaluate her life. Eventually, she pursued her passions in programming and inventing, creating an elaborate AI based on Light Hope from Netflix’s She-Ra. With her parents getting older and their lives outside the wrestling business becoming increasingly busy, they had shut down their promotion several years ago. A brief revival hadn’t lasted long, and it had been shuttered ever since. However, in October 2023, Lucia reopened the doors, and business began anew. Shy and a bit self-conscious, Lucia hid behind the holographic AI of Light Hope for nearly a year, only being convinced by her godmother to finally reveal herself in July 2024. Now a public entity, Lucia faces new challenges as she can no longer hide behind the comfort of her tech. She must learn to lead and steer the ship as best she can while the entire roster—and possibly the world—watches.
