According to a report by the Chinese-language Macao Daily News, the revelation comes from David Chow Kampai, co-chairman and CEO of Hong Kong-listed Macao Legends Development Limited, who further explained that the in-house casino at the Macao property with 80 to 120 game tables is now under government inspection.
Under a gaming license held by SJM Holdings Limited, Macao Legend Development Limited operates Pharoah Palace Casino within the landmark Macao Hotel along with nearby Babylon Casino Macao, while the five-star Legend Palace Hotel has declared it will offer 223 "rich rooms" with suites, a fitness club with swimming pools and gyms, restaurants and retail, entertainment and leisure facilities.
Macau Legends Development Limited, which purchased Laos' Saban Vegas Hotel and Entertainment Complex for about $42 million in early September, said Legend Palace Hotel will be the second new hotel to open in the Fisherman's Wharf area following the launch of Harborview Hotel in February 2015. The company also announced that it plans to expand its own VIP gaming business to new locations and will relocate some of its existing tables while applying for additional licenses.
