1) The descriptions in the ad are entirely accurate. They are in BETTER condition than the item pictured. Difference is 1 is missing a nut, since I modded it for unusual string arrangement & so on so took it off. It's simple & inexpensive 2 replace & details R covered in the ad. Since people have their own unique preferences on 'string spacing' may as well leave it off for the $ale =) U know, like some people may prefer a 'Vintage Fender' vibe where strings are near the edge, or 'Ibanez' style vibe where they're further in. It's interesting the 2 had different spacing up there. The 1 with the nut still on is 'Fender' style, & the 1 without WAS 'Ibanez' (set in) style. I prefer Ibanez style but that's a matter 4 the user 2 decide.
I am happy to take photos & stuff but don't want 2 waste my time. I have lots of stuff in storage & would need 2 get them out, set them up, & so on. Price for photos is $50. There is a very flexible return policy in the ad, so long as they are sent back in the same condition. I really don't care how long you use them so long as you don't wear them out (like the frets). I've had them many years (one about 30 years now?) & the frets are still like new. I do not grind them down with bad technique =) I also don't do crazy stuff like scratch them up with a big spikey belt buckle or something. In fact I put a piece of 'removable cling window tint plastic' on the back so they never get even a single mark.
I'm not some pothead flake. I flip houses. I treat all my property (except tools of course, because it's impossible =)) like it costs bazilions of dollars. It's silly how some people abuse their own property. My fave pair of 'in-ear junk headphones' I've been using for about 6 years now & still working great. Some people burn through a pair a week? I was VERY helpful. 4 instance, I never implied Ebay charges $50 a picture, and you know that is not the case. That is YOU pretending 2 think I am a $cammer. Send word around on these basses. As a 'conventional' design they really sound GR8 & have lots of cool features = INFINITELY better value than stuff like a Fender, which costs way more & doesn't sound or look as good or have as many sound options. It's really the obvious way 2 go unless U want something totally different that doesn't even exist. Only reason I'm selling is I don't even play 'bass' N E more, but a 'hybrid' type design, detailed in the ad =D

3) Stopped reading @ 'deep end'. U R a just trying 2 boss me around 4 no legitimate purpose. =) There is no need whatsoever 2 put ANY photo. They will say things like 'White 1986 Fender Jazz Bass with EMG pickups' (and it will cost a LOT more than this thing and sound & look worse). Lot of 'classified' ads for instruments have NO photo. That's Y we use WORDS 2 describe things. It is the same model as pictured, & differences R described in the ad. The 1 in the photos is modified like they moved the strap button & put different tuners, etc. U can read. =D
Next maybe tell me how "Musician's Friend" catalog needs 2 post a photo of the exact bass U will B buying, not just the same model ~ C what they tell U HAHAHAHA

$1,600 for the Fender, which looks worse, sounds as good for somet hings but the Heartfield can get similar sounds plus a lot more (parametric EQ, etc.), & compared 2 the looks of the Heartfield the Fender is clunky & boring looking like an old refrigerator or something. Actually pick guards always look really cheeseball 2 me. Music Man basses look like a toilet seat but sound kool =)) They also cost a lot more than a toilet.

$2,500 For the Music Man. The Heartfield can get very similar sounds 2 it also because of the fancy EQ section & graphite rods & carbon fiber & stuff in the neck = snappy =) It can also mimic stuff from Steinberger (original not the all-wood 'spirit' junk) & 'Status', both of which cost a ton. $500 each is a $teal 4 these, & even though I don't play them N E more they sound so much better than N E thing else in that price range it's silly 2 $ell them 4 N E less. I can always lend them out when sum1 needs a good sound here or there. I rent gear out...

5) Stopped reading @ Musicians Friend isn't selling a Heartfield. Correct ~ they R selling things that R MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE yet play, look, & sound much WORSE (4 the most part =) than the Heartfield DR5, & IF they were selling the DR5 it would be priced around $3,000 or more, because of the fancy graphite & carbon fiber stuff = up in 'Status Graphite' & other 'boutique' territory'. 4 U 2 pretend I need 2 post pix when I already have (same model) is just U TROLLING me trying 2 waste my time, accusing me of lying in the description, etc.
I suggest U find a better hobby than trying 2 boss around Ebay $ellers playing 'what's the serial number' & other nonsense. If U want photos of the actual item so bad, 10% of the price is no big deal. U would pay that 2 drive 2 another city 2 C a fancy bass ($50 round trip, all told) so get a grip =) U certainly don't 'need' pix of the actual bass 4 $ale. The ad describes the specific differences, but U pretend U can't read.
Maybe U can forward my ad 2 sum1 who actually wants a fancy bass like this, not just 2 jack people around =D The value-per-dollar is RIDICULOUS (in a good way), especially considering the price of 'big name' stuff like Fender & Music Man. BTW: Heartfield was a 'boutique line' by Fender, ordered from FujiGen in Japan (who makes some of the high end models of Ibanez & Yamaha & stuff 2). The band Big Country 4 instance play what people might think R Gib$on Le$ Paul$, but they're actually 'Yamaha' stuff made by FujiGen...

6) BTW: In case U don't recall from the ad, the pickups were made by EMG. It's not some piece of krap. They're alnico magnet 'OEM' = 'Original Equipment Manufacturer' EMGs, which means they R the same as the kind of stuff they offer (pretty much) but look different & don't say 'EMG' on them. I mean, EMG makes lots of different pickups, but Alnico sound better because the magnets themselves conduct electricity more 4 a 'hysteresis' effect, which 'compresses' the sound 4 a more 'ballzy' feel (that sounds kinda dirty =)) My fave 4 everything is Alnico II, especially 4 distorted guitar. Just swapping the magnet type in guitar pickups radically changes the sound, just like swapping tube types in a distortion preamp can. Interesting stuff ~;D
So yeah, EMG pickups, active parametric EQ, carbon fiber & graphite hybrid neck with real rosewood fingerboard, alder (not 'basswood' balsakrap fart city) body wood, etc., 5 string with 'standard' (not 'mini' spacing) = very 'pro' features all 4 $500 = It's A $teal =8^D
& with very flexible return policy of 3 months = frax sake = get a grip!

9) BTW: The $50 for photos 4 U applies toward the purchase yes, but it is non-refundable, even if U return the basses. Also deduct actual shipping, & N E Ebay '$eller' fees as commission paid 2 Fleabay. I think that's like 7%? So all told it's 15%+ shipping both ways maximum risk 2 U, which is not bad as returning stuff 2 'Musicians Friend' is similar = they don't cover shipping I don't think (nor does N E 1 4 returns like that?)
In other words (since U enjoy pretending U can't read) $50 for photos & even if U don't buy the basses, U bought the photos. The photos will look no different than the description in the ad (like the 'stock' photos I posted, but not so modified. They changed the tuners, moved the strap button, changed the knobs, etc.)

There's no need 4 a photo whatsoever in cases like this because they R both in excellent condition = no dents or scratches, etc. 1 has no nut = whoop dee doo =)) I removed it because I used wild string arrangements 2 experiment so 'non standard' N E waze. It's simple & cheap 2 replace, & the 'spacing' & stuff depends on user preference N E waze, & since I don't play them N E more that would B pointless 4 me 2 do. I'm also using the strings on my 'custom' instrument so they don't come with those, which is fine because people have their own string preferences 2 & would probably just ditch them.
