Cleaning Coils
Evaporator coils cool the nice and cozy, humid air from at home before recirculating cooler air inside again. Clean filters assist in keeping these coils clean, but as time passes they'll still collect dirt. An experienced can inspect the evaporator coil and wash it as necessary.
Keep Surrounding Shrubbery Trimmed.
When you've got planted shrubbery around your unit to cover up it from view, make sure to leave adequate area surrounding it for it to operate without obstruction. A fast trim will do the trick.
Check Your Ductwork and Seal Open Spaces.
Ensure that your complete doors and windows are properly sealed to keep the house cool. Perform a visible inspection of your respective ductwork occasionally to be positive it's sealed correctly. In the event the ductwork is not properly sealed, cool air will escape just before getting into the home. The less cool air that escapes the house, the less your unit should work.
Straighten Coil Fins
The aluminum fins on evaporator and condenser coils might be bent which enable it to block airflow with the coil. Your Dealer will check these pieces at the annual maintenance visit and straighten them, if necessary.
