Casino in downtown Reno scheduled to open

The Fitzgerald Casino/Hotel, which has been a landmark in Reno since 1976, will close on Nov. 30 with approximately 500 employees out of work. The casino is expected to reopen two to three years after completing major renovations, but will disappear forever. Instead, it plans to replace the casino with a three-story entertainment facility, including a retail store, restaurant, and convention space. The hotel has yet to be released but will reopen as a boutique hotel under a different name.

Reno's decline in the gambling market is part of the problem caused by more than a year of declining revenue. Intensifying competition with California tribal games and the overall U.S. economic crisis are other factors that contributed to this decision.

"Games are very capital intensive, highly competitive, and highly regulated," says Fernando Lal of L3 Development, which is working on the project. "And we think there are a lot of great gaming facilities in the immediate area. So we're moving in a different direction. And we think our deliveries will complement those facilities and provide a market-like experience."    안전 슬롯사이트
