Currently, Ontario does not have a self-exclusion feature available for all local licensed private operators. That's why the province is now prioritizing solutions to this problem. Regulators shared that self-limiting options should be universal. This means that if the bets exclude themselves from the platform, this should apply to all other sports books or websites.
Raymond Kahnert, AGCO's chief communications adviser, recently noted that the committee is currently working on a centralized self-exclusion registration for the province. According to him, the new centralized mechanism will remove loopholes and then sports betters will not be able to bet other online sports books in the province after they enter self-exclusion.
