How to Book Colosseum Tickets

There is no doubt that there are many ancient sights in the city of Rome, but most tour companies organize their tours around these main locations only. The reason being, the 3 together display much of the ancient city and are adjacent to one another. Also, they are all included on one general admission ticket. 

In order to enter the Colosseum, you certainly require a general admission ticket. Tickets are good for 48 hours, but you can enter each attraction only once.

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS

€12 – adults

€7.50 – EU citizens aged between 18 and 25

Free – under the age of 18 

You will be charged a €2 online booking fee per ticket through the official site in order to reserve your tickets.  This is in addition to the prices mentioned above. We recommend that you buy and print out your tickets before arriving. This way you will have what is called skip-the-line tickets, which means that you will not have to stand in a long line to enter the Colosseum.

Without printed tickets, you will be made to stand on a will-call line to pick up them up. This will take about 30-60 minutes in the busy season. In case you buy the tickets on the website, the wait can be 1-2 hours or more.
