Fact1: Installation does not need a technician

Setting up a smart light bulb is super easy. The point is you just have to take out your traditional bulb and fix it with a new one. It does not need any wireless connections to offer smart home potential. It directly connects to your Wi-Fi. But there are some brands that make smart bulbs in a way that they do not need a hub or a bridge to connect with your wi-fi network. The only thing you have to do is plug your smart light bulb socket into it and follow the instructions given in the manual guide. But you will be surprised to learn that there are smart bulbs that need a hub- acting as a mediator between the wireless router and the bulb.

If you have gotten a smart light bulb that works with a bridge, connect the bridge with the wifi router and when the indicated lights you see on the bridge, you can easily complete the set-up process as given in the manual guide.

The next type of smart bulb that can be connected to the wifi router is with the help of turning on the Bluetooth device and setting up the smart bulb with the help of the manual. The point being in all of the types mentioned you do not have to take the help of the technician but only the user manual and the steps mentioned are super easy to follow.

Fact2: The actual working of the smart bulb is easier than you think

There are smart bulbs that can track your phone’s GPS and turn on the lights as you approach the front porch. This is especially helpful on days when you see darkness on the front porch and cannot stop yourself from stumbling. The next part is you can easily turn the on/off switch as you do with traditional switches. There is nothing wrong with it. So, to be comfy with your newly bought smart device you need not skip your old habits.

There are other smart bulbs that might need a voice assistant like Google mini or Alexa to power it on. So, it all depends on the type of device you have bought.

Fact3: The durability of these smart bulbs is unquestionable

These smart light bulbs are LEDs (light-emitting diodes) that have the potential to last much longer than that a traditional bulb. And you must understand this kind of smart bulb always consumes 90% of less energy than that a normal bulb. So the durability is par above excellence with that of a usual bulb. However, if you want to see a real dip in the electric units consumed, you need to replace all of your normal bulbs with smart bulbs to see a difference.

Fact4: A single smart bulb costs you much less than what you expect

Most would not agree. But before you make hefty investments, it is important to see how many smart bulbs you need in the beginning. And if your budget is low and you are not so confident about this purchase do not go for a smart home light fixture hub, smart switch, or smart light bulb.
