Assam, Bangladesh & Subcontinent : History & Reality

By Ustad Hasan Abdus Salam

History testifies us,

Muslims in the eastern part of the subcontinent never been able to lead or provide the security to the Muslims and Islam due to their lacking in political thought.

The Muslims in the eastern part of the subcontinent are cornered by the Hindu states due to the bootlicking attitude of the Muslims living in Utter Pradesh and Punjab. On one side, the Muslims are being beaten by the Hindu extremists in Assam. And on the other side in Bangladesh they are being targeted intentionally by their loyal flatterers.

In some cases, the proportion of being affected in Assam and Bangladesh is almost competitive.

Almost a thousand Muslim families are evicted from their land for the construction of 'Shiva Temple' in Darang district of Assam. And two Muslims have been killed by the police for the protestation against this declaration which made by the BJP government.

Vijay Bania, a photographer jumped over a dead body of Mainul Islam, Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun...

Are these events really isolated? Or it is the consequences of a long term well-planned program?

There are 34 districts in Assam in which 9 are the Muslim majority districts. And Darang is one of those nine districts. The population of this district is around 1 million and 65% of them is Muslim.

So, building the Shiva temples through the eviction of thousands of Muslims from their land by the BJP administration is not an isolated event.

The spokesperson of the extremist BJP and RSS in Assam have made huge propaganda to lower the Muslim population and to occupy their lands so that they can get the legitimacy for their aggressive behavior towards the Muslims.

Facts that are widely promoted against the Muslims of Assam are-

  1. A) The Muslims forcibly marry with other women outside their community by converting them into theirs (Islam). Also the men of this community are polygamy. Even they have made a slogan on this and promotes this widely which is- for us "Hum do, hamara do", (We are two, we have two) and for Muslims "Hum panch, hamara panchis" (We are five, we have twenty-five).

Which means the Hindus tend to marry one and take two children. Whereas the Muslims tend to marry four and take twenty-five children.

  1. B) They also have the hatred towards the Muslims grave. They consider this practice as the process of possess lands.

As a result of this campaigns, Paresh Bajaj, the leader of the Viswa Hindu Parishad of Delhi says- "The Muslims are like the 'Milk stones'. They are different. They believe in Islamic nationalism. They want to establish Dar-ul-Islam in India. The Bangladeshi immigrants in Assam is nothing but a part of this."

In October 1946, the RSS started their first organizational work by forming three branches in Assam. And a report of April 2017 says that they now have 903 branches in there. And through this, in 2016, BJP first came into the power in Assam politically.

BJP got success in Gujarat and Utter Pradesh and they have got success in Assam following the same strategy. They had a campaign of evicting the Muslims from their land in Assam.

The analysis of the 2019 election shows us that the BJP draws 70 percent of the Hindu votes to them through this strategy.

Therefore, it becomes clear that the oppression against the Muslims is the part of a long term well-planned project by the Hindutva RSS and their political wing BJP. And to get the legitimacy they promote massive propaganda.

On the contrary to RSS-BJP's theory a strong political goal is absent to the Muslims. But in reality, it is not possible to resist a long term conspiracy overnight. Also, it is way more difficult to replace.

May Allah make us understand this matter.

Why Assam is a topic to us?

Historically, East Bengal (Bangladesh at present) and Assam was a joint administrative center. From the beginning of the nineteenth century, these two area used to be ruled together under the Bengal Presidency.

In 1905, this institutional form came into discussion widely during the partition of Bengal. At that time, the state was named as 'East Bengal and Assam'.

Dhaka was set as the capital of the state whereas Chittagong was set as the secondary city. The size of the states became 106,504 square miles (and now Bangladesh is only 56,000 square miles).

But in 1911, East Bengal and Assam were separated due to the massive protestation of the Hindu's to prevent the progress and the potential emergence of this Muslim majority state. And at that time, Rabindranath Tagore wrote the song 'Amar sonar Bangla' which became our national anthem later. What a mockery!

In 1947, except the Sylhet, the rest of the part of Assam went under the control of Hindus due to the disagreement and the lack of farsightedness among the Muslim Ulama and leaders. For the record, Sylhet used to be a part of Assam which is now a district of Bangladesh.

So the summary is,

For the establishment of the Utopia 'Ram Rajya', the Hindu regime is preparing for the Muslim holocaust. But their blueprint can be weakened and broken by the Muslims if they realize the fact and start to act in the light of Shariah law, Insha’Allah.

Therefore, it is important to have the programs ready for the Muslim majority state 'Assam' along with Bangladesh- the eastern part of the subcontinent, if we want to see the subcontinent in light of history and reality.
