Boston overpowered Miami and settled on a semifinal PO

NBA regular league winning percentage of 0.78 Boston
Eastern Conference Quarterfinals PO Game 5
Miami 118-84 vanquished
4-1 overall in the series to advance to the next round

Boston, which showed an overwhelming performance in the NBA regular league this season, also defeated Miami in the playoffs and advanced to the second round.

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Miami Marlins 118-84 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals (four wins out of seven) of the 2023-24 NBA Playoffs held at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on Tuesday. The Boston Red Sox, who recorded four wins and one loss overall, will face the winner of the Cleveland-Orando game in the semifinals of the Eastern Conference.

Boston won the regular season with a 0.78 winning percentage, becoming the top team in the league. The number far exceeds that of New York, which ranks second in the Eastern Conference (winning percentage of 0.61). Center Kristaps Porzingis was absent again on the day due to a sprained right splenic muscle, but Boston showed off its power as the No. 1 player in the East by banking on its solid strength. Jason Tatum (16 points, 12 rebounds) and Jaylen Brown (25 points) combined for 41 points, while Derek White (25 points) contributed.  안전놀이터 추천

Boston took the lead from the beginning of the game. White was at the center of the attack by scoring 15 points, including three 3-pointers, in the first quarter alone, while Brown, Al Horford, Sam Houser, and Tatum also played evenly to end the first quarter with a 41-23 lead.

The gap widened in the second quarter. Tatum, Zrew Halladay, and Brown continued their momentum by shooting mid-range shots and hitting outside shots. Miami countered with Caleb Martin and Tyler Hiro, but Boston didn't give a chance. Brown and Tatum widened the gap to 68-46 in the first half.

Boston also had its own game in the second half. White scored three-pointers whenever needed, and Brown and Tatum easily continued to score. Boston finally had a comfortable win by bringing its key players to the bench early on.

Boston has been strong in the playoffs following the regular season, but Porzingis' only weakness is his absence. He has been a strong supporter of Boston, averaging 20.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks this season. However, he has yet to return to the court after being sidelined due to a sore right calf in the previous game. Whether Porzingis will return to the court has emerged as an unexpected variable in Boston's bid for championship.
