Second, WordPress is, in my view, the most user-friendly platform. It is easy to add blog entries (called posts) or full static pages. To create a high-quality website, you don't have to know any programming. You can get it up and running in no time. You can modify the look and functionality of your website with themes in minutes. There are many plugins available and they are easy to use. You can search for what you need in your WordPress admin console and then click the button to install the plugin. It's easy to add functionality to your website, ecommerce, Google Analytics and easily added Google AdWords.
Finally, if you are a programmer and enjoy getting into the details, it is possible to create a child theme or add your own code. This is easier than other CMS's. While I have built websites with WordPress's built-in tools and the themes I've installed it, I have also created websites using child themes. You can use the templates and background programming of your theme. However, child themes let you customize the PHP files and CSS files to make your changes to your website. Your changes will not be lost if your parent theme is updated.
All things considered, WordPress is my favorite website builder and the CMS I recommend to anyone looking to create their site or hire me to do it for them.
