Beach therapy

Walking nonchalantly down the white crystalline sands of Sunset Beach, alone, or in the company of your loved ones is something you can't possibly miss while being in Treasure Island.

The sound that ocean waves make while reaching the shores, the distinct fragrance of sea salt and the soothing cool breeze are all sure to make your leisurely walk memorable letting your mind go empty while enjoying the pleasantries of the moment.

Relaxation in any form and at any time is welcome, but there's absolutely no match for the beach therapy. It doesn't matter whether you decide to pay a visit during the morning, midday or evening, although at dawn and dusk the sounds and the scenic beauty will be at the zenith.

Watch Manatees up and close at the Sunset Vista Trailhead Park.

If you are in awe of sea animals, there's a phenomenal opportunity in waiting for you to get up and close with manatees— also referred to as sea cows, at the famous Sunset Vista Trailhead Park in Treasure Island, Florida. These are marine mammals which are huge herbivorous, and completely aquatic. They might not be the most attractive of the lot but watching these gentle giants during a walk-in Trailhead Park cuddling their younger ones is a spectacle to behold. If you really want, you can get pretty close, but you'll also see them at the beach all day frolicking with the friendly dolphins.

Get clicked with Bucky— Big Pirate of Treasure Island

The Bucky Big Pirate is a fiberglass figurine that is approximately 20 feet tall. The history of the monument dates back to the 1950s of the Buccaneer Motel era. The sculpture was more like the motel 's iconic figure, which was bequeathed to the city of Treasure Island, Florida by the owners when the motel shut down its operations in the year 2005. It is one of the island's most filmed and photographed sculptures, and we guess you also wouldn't like to miss the opportunity to pose beside the famous gigantic pirate for a shot or two.

Sailing In A Rental Boat

How about wandering out in the mystical deep blue ocean during the bright sunny morning or in the coolness of dusk? The tranquillity you get from experience is akin to lounging in the pristine beaches, only that you'll be cruising seamlessly in rental boats, embraced by sea from all four sides. Seep into the breath-taking view of the ocean, calming rhythms of the pulsating waves and the wind as you go set out on a long peaceful excursion.
