The Korea e-Sports Association (hereinafter KeSPA) announced on the 15th that it opened the 15th Presidential Cup Amateur E-Sports Competition (KeG) in September on the 10th.
The 15th Presidential Cup Amateur E-Sports Championship (hereinafter referred to as Presidential Cup KeG) was newly established this year as a league-type competition in which amateur players who participated in the national finals in August participate.
The Presidential Cup KeG League will be held monthly (September, October) league and league finals (December). The monthly league will be held for three days in the form of an online full league in September and October, and the playoffs will be held offline for one day. The league finals will be held offline for two days at Daejeon E-Sports Stadium (Daejeon Yuseong) in December.
League events are League of Legends (Riot Games) and Battleground Mobile (Crafton), and the qualifications will be given to players who participate in the national finals after being selected through this year's presidential KeG regional representative selection. In September, 75 people from 15 regions of League of Legends and 52 from 14 regions of Battleground mobile events will participate in the league.
In the monthly league game method, League of Legends will be held in the form of a single league in four groups of the round of 16, and from the quarterfinals, it will be held in a best-of-three single tournament, and the final will be held in a best-of-five format. Battleground mobile events will be held in a four-person squad, four matches per day, and a total of 16 matches of cumulative rankings and kill points will be added.
Presidential Cup KeG's September league schedule will lead from the full league online to the playoffs held offline. On the 10th, one to three full league matches and one to four battleground mobile matches were held in the League of Legends round of 16. On the 16th, the League of Legends round of 16 full league matches and Battleground Mobile 5 to 8 matches will be held, while the League of Legends quarterfinals and semifinals and Battleground Mobile 9 to 12 matches will be held on the 17th. The long-awaited playoffs will be held at the Sinnonhyeon Station branch of Oz PC Cafe (Gangnam, Seoul), designated as an e-sports facility on the 24th, with the third and fourth place of League of Legends and the final and 13-16 matches of Battleground Mobile.
