The Rajasthan State Assembly established Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur under Act 11/2012. Bagaria Education Trust, Jaipur, sponsored it. The University is the most prestigious private educational institution in Jaipur. VGU aspires to provide world-class education in science, engineering, pharmacy, and management. The All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE] has approved the university, and it has affiliations with the Pharmacy Council of India [PCI] and the Bar Council of India [BCI], as well as being recognised by the University Grants Commission [UGC]. The University provides courses in architecture, law, science, medicine, and engineering. VGU's campus is spread out over a large area.
