Google has updated the drive with a new feature to make file sharing and controlling- 'who sees' what a lot easier. In this update, the user will get an instant mobile alert whenever a file or folder is shared with the user. The drive is always encrypted so that the user does not have to worry about the security, everything in there is safe, being able to share it ease will be a cherry on top.
The notification alert
In Google Drive update, the user will receive a notification alert as and when a file or folder is shared with the user. A single click will open the same file.
When a file is shared with you, but there is no access for you to open it, you only need to do a single click through your android app to demand access, there is no calling or mailing involved to get access to that file. The owner will immediately receive a notification on his iOS or Android device.
Earlier a Google account was mandatory to view the shared files on the Android device, however, this update enables one to view the shared files without a Google account. A few drive features will be unavailable currently on the web version (when files viewed without a google account) but these will be rolled out in upcoming updates.
