A very powerful exotic trace rifle that has been at the top of the meta for several years already. Players of all kinds – regardless of their preferences – use it in all the game’s activities and for many it’s the obvious number 1 pick. Even if your heart is occupied with another weapon, you should definitely put in some effort and get Divinity. You will likely find a good use for it too.
What is so Good about Divinity?
Divinity has great stats – but great stats alone wouldn’t have made it a superstar it is. This trace rifle offers a huge critical hit spot on targets that you deal sustained damage to throughout some time. So the more you hit someone, the easier it is for you to crit them.
Another fantastic feature is catching targets in arc cages. With the help of Divinity, you can immobilize opponents and hit them even harder. It combines really well with that thing about critical hit spot and sustained damage that we’ve mentioned above. It’s easy to assume the potential of such a thing in PvP. However, PvE environments are also suitable for such additional effects.

How Do I Get It?
Great guns don’t just lie on the ground for everyone to pick up. So yes, expect investing lots of effort into obtaining Divinity. Not only will you need to successfully clear the Garden of Salvation raid, you will also have to complete a lengthy quest line and after that return to the raid and solve several puzzles. So here’s how it works: first, you clear GoS. Then you come back to its entrance and find a new available quest “Divine Fragmentation”. It’s not the hardest part of the chain: you just travel to Lunar Battlegrounds, find a Vex gate in a cave near the Sorrow’s Harbor, fight a mini boss, and loot an exotic engram.
The engram holds a little secret which is another quest (“What’s this… What’s this?”). It takes you on a journey to find 3 oracles. They are scattered all across the Moon: Orrey Lost Sector, the Tangle, and the Conflux. As you’re through with them, you’ll get another task, and this one is going to be quite time-consuming: collect 120 decryption core fragments. This will involve lots of Vex slaying. After that you will have another collecting quest: now go and fetch 30 Phantasmal Fragments. That’s at least 4 times fewer than the previous one but don’t expect it to be much faster to complete. It will take killing Nightmare enemies – alternatively, you can just purchase those fragments from Eris with Helium Filaments.
This is where the tedious solo adventure ends and the hell begins. Now you have to return to Garden of Salvation and complete all the 7 puzzles within one run. The puzzles are not exactly simple so prepare for lots of suffering and at least several attempts. Unfortunately, this stage can’t be completed alone, so you will need 5 loyal teammates that will care enough to stick by you until you’re finally done. Luckily, this is the last thing you’ll have to do – right after you’ve finished the raid and all the puzzles, you’ll get the desired exotic.
