MR.MR, "Actor visuals? We are a vocal group"
[Reporter Lee Hyerin] Five-member boy group, MR.MR, have made a comeback with new song "Highway", boasting visuals of 'best of its class'.
The ones who made their debut last year with "Who's That Girl" are attracting a lot of attention because all five members are over 180cm tall and have model-level visuals.
As this is the second new song, they are determined to show things properly this time. All of the members agreed that they focused on improving the things they regret during their last promotions.
"Before standing on stage, I thought that I could just do it. But when I actually tried, it was different. I thought that the senior artists were really amazing. Even so, I saw gradual improvement while monitoring our past promotions. We were lacking in terms of managing facial expressions, stage manners, and so on, but I think we're getting better little by little." (Ryu)
This song is one that had already been prepared and planned to promote since debut. There are so many things to be shown.
"There are no rappers in our group. There isn't any rapping in our songs. We dance because we also want to show you a performance, but actually we are a vocal group that is strong in ballads and a cappella. We prepared a lot so that we could show all of our songs and dances from the start, rather than showing our dances after coming out as a vocal group." (Changjae)
MR.MR consists of Tey, a member of the company since its early stages who had a rough training period for about 4 years, leader Jin who gives off a strong impression, and members Ryu, Changjae, and Doyeon. Not only singing, but acting activities are also being prepared. Overall, sexiness was the focal point.
"Our group concept is BEAST's performance and MBLAQ's sexiness. We watched a lot of Rain senior's videos too. We're all tall, so we're a male group who doesn't use insoles at all. I think visuals are also one of our strong points, and we're working hard to have a sexy appeal. During the dance this time, the point is the sexy motion where the pelvis is raised. I'll try to seduce the women properly." (Jin)
