How to Create a Tournament? | A Step-by-Step Guide

Do you want to learn how to create a tournament? It's just a matter of few steps.

Due to the rise in popularity of games, running game tournaments is an excellent chance for every gamer and non-gamer. Also, it would be fun seeing players thriving to win. So, if you want to learn how to host a tournament, make sure you follow the following steps carefully.

Step 1 – Organizing Tournament

  • Start by signing in/signing up as an organizer.
  •  When signed in, give an appealing name to your tournament
  • Now, select a tournament mode, Solo or clan
  • Select a one tournament structure; Single Elimination, Double Elimination, Single Round FFA (free for all), and Elimination Round FFA (free for all)
  • Now, turn the automatic bracket resizing on or off. The Automated Bracket Resizingallows automatic adjustment of bracket size when the sign-ups fail to meet your goal prior to the deadline.

Step 2 – Event selection

  • Select a venue; Online or Live Event
  • Choose an Event; Normal or Main. Select Main if it's a single tournament event, select Main if there will be qualifier rounds for reaching the main event.
  • Select a Region that offers excellent ping and let the players know about it.
  • Select your country
  • Select your city
  • Set Rules; let players know what's allowed and what's not.

Step 3 – Tournament Constraints

  • Select the tournament game
  • Choose consoles that will be used for playing in the tournament.
  • Decide Max players/clans compete in the tournament.
  • Select the number of winning placements. For example, the winners will be only 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
  • Upload an attractive video to give an intro to your tournament. A picture would also do.
  • Create deadlines for registration and set a specific date and time for the start of the tournament.
  • Select a time to repeat the same event at another date and time.
  •  How to host a tournament; select yes if you are organizing the tournament yourself. If you want a player to be the host of the tournament, select no.
  • Use the feature, "private room," to allow specific players with the password to enter only. The private room will require a name and a password.

Step 4 – Custom Settings

  • Provide details about the event, such as map name, field name, etc. Also, here, you can add some vital information regarding the tournament to let players understand the game rules.

Step 5 –Game Timetable

  • Set a start and end time for each round of the tournament. Also, set a deadline for submitting the game results.

Step 6 – Game Overview

  • Before starting the tournament, check the game overview and see if all the settings are set correctly or not. After checking, begin the tournament.
