1. Dua That Guarantees You Forgiveness (Sahih Al-Bukhari 1154)

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Whoever gets up at night and says:

La ilaha 'illa Allaahu, wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku, wa lahul hamdu, wa huwa ala kulli shay’in qadeer. Al hamdu lillaahi, wa Subhana Allaahi, wa la illaaha ila Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, waLa hawla wa la quwwata illa billaah.

There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allah Alone, He has no partners, He has the Dominion and for Him is all praise, and He is capable of all things, praise is for Him, and Far is Allah from imperfection, and There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allah.

"Then he says: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي‏

Allaahumma aghfirlee. “O Allah forgive me!”

Or he supplicates and his supplication is answered, and if he makes Wudhu and prays, then his prayer is accepted.

2. Dua That Wipe Away Sins

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Whoever says: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ ‏

(Subhana Allaahi wa bihamdihi)

a hundred times a day, his sins are wiped away, even if they were as much as foam of the sea."

3. Phrases That Are Heavier On The Scales Than An Entire Morning Of Recitation (recite in the morning)(Sahih Muslim 2726a and 2726b)

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier." These are:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ(3times) ‏.‏

Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, 'adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinatah 'arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi. (3 times)

“Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throneand equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise).”

4. Dua To Stay On The Right Path (Sahih Muslim 2655)

اللَّهُمَّ مُصَرِّفَ الْقُلُوبِ صَرِّفْ قُلُوبَنَا عَلَى طَاعَتِكَ

Allahumma musarrifa-l quloobi sarrif quloobina ala ta’atik.

“O, Allah! The One Who turns the hearts,

turn my heart towards Your obedience.”

5. Recite Surah Baqarah and Surah Imran as it will be a Shade on the Day of Resurrection.

“Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, al-Baqara and Surah Al 'Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu'awiya said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians)”

6. Recite this Dhikr After Every Salah for Great Reward

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The people said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The rich people have got the highest degrees of prestige and the permanent pleasures (in this life and the life to come in the Hereafter)." He said, "How is that?" They said, "The rich pray as we pray, and strive in Allah's Cause as we do, and spend from their surplus wealth in charity, while we have no wealth (to spend likewise)." He said, "Shall I not tell you a thing, by doing which, you will catch up with those who are ahead of you and supersede those who will come after you; and nobody will be able to do such a good deed as you do except the one who does the same (deed as you do).

That deed is to recite 'Subhan Allah ten times, and 'Al-Hamduli l-lah ten times, and 'AllahuAkbar' ten times after Every (fard) prayer.

7. Dua To Be Save From Torments Of Grave

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min fitnatil qabri wa adhabil qabri

“O, Allah! Saves us from the torments of the grave.”

8.Dhikr for a Great Reward on Day of Resurrection

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

He who recites in the morning and in the evening (these words):

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

(Subhana Allaahi wa bihamdihi) one hundred times, he would not bring on the Day of Resurrection anything excellent than this except one who utters these words or utters more than these words.

9. Dua For The Best In The Dunya And Hereafter

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan, wa fil'akhirati hasanatan, waqina 'adhaban-nar.

“O, Allah! Our Lord give us all the good of this world,and the good of the hereafter,

and Save us from the punishment of the Fire.”

"Shall I not tell you of a word which is one of the treasures of Paradise?"

12. Dua to Recite at Times of Calamity

If any Muslim who suffers some calamity says, what Allah has commanded him,

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَأَخْلِفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا

" We belong to Allah and to Him shall we return; O Allah, reward me for my affliction and give me something better than it in exchange for it"

Allah will give him something better than it in exchange.

13. Dua To Get Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Help in Yawm Al Qiyamah.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Whoever says the following, after hearing the call of the adhan, I will intercede for them yawm al qiyamah."

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلاَةِ الْقَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ

Allaahumma Rabba haathihid-da 'watit-taammati wassalaatil-qaa'imatah,

Aati Muhammadanil-waseelata walfadheelah, Wab 'ath-hu maqaamam-mahmoodanil-lathee wa'adtah.

“O, Allah! the Lord of this perfect call, and the lord of the prayer that is about to be established, grant Prophet Muhammad ﷺ al waseela, Resurrect him with that status, that is so praise worthy, which you have already promised.”

14. Dua Forgiveness All Believers

Allahumma ighfir lil muslimeena wal-muslimaat, wal-mu'mineena wal-mu'minaat

15. Benefits Reciting Surah Ikhlas

Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(There are) two words which are dear to the Beneficent (Allah) and very light (easy) for the tongue (to say), but very heavy in weight in the balance.

They are: ''Subhan Allah wa-bi hamdihi'' and ''Subhan Allah Al-`Azim."

17. Dua For Protection From Laziness

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَرَمِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ

“O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness, and seek refuge with You from cowardice, and seek refuge with You from geriatric old age, and seek refuge with You from miserliness”

18. Do this before going to bed everyday.

Narrated `Aisha: Whenever Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went to bed, he used to blow on his hands while reciting the Mu'auwidhat ( i.e. Suratal-Falaq 113 and Surat-an-Nas 114) and then pass his hands over his body.

19. Recite SubhanAllahi, Alhamdulillah, La illaha illallah, Allahu Akbar for great Reward

“Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The uttering of the words: “Subhan-Allah (Allah is free from imperfection), Al-hamdu lillah (all praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah) and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)’ is dearer to me than anything over which the sun rises.”

20. Recite this before going to bed/sleep.

When the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed, he would say: اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

"Allahumma Bismika amutu wa ahya."

and when he got up he would say:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

" Al-hamdu li l-lahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilaihin-nushur."

21. Recite this for a Great Reward!

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said," Whoever says:

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهْوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ‏

"La ilaha illAllah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahul- hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir,"

one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting TEN slaves; and ONE HUNDRED good deeds will be written in his accounts, and ONE HUNDRED sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he."

22. Recite this for a Great Reward!

'Amr b. Maimun reported: He who uttered:

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

" There is no god but Allah, the One, having no partner with Him, His is the Sovereignty and all praise is due to Him and He is Potent over everything" TEN times, he is like one who emancipated FOUR slaves from the progeny of Isma'il.

23. Dua that prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ used to recite

Farwa' b. Naufal Ashja'i reported:

I asked: 'A'isha, in what words did Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) supplicate Allah? She said that he used to utter:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ

" I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of what I did and from the evil of what I did not."

24. Recite Quran at Fajr

Narrated Abu Salama bin `Abdur Rahman:

Abu Huraira said, "I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'The reward of a prayer in congregation is twenty five times greater than that of a prayer offered by a person alone. The angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the time of Fajr prayer.' " Abu Huraira then added, "Recite the Holy Book if you wish, for "Indeed, the recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn (Fajr prayer) is ever witnessed." (17: 78).

24. Recite this When Distressed

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to say at a time of distress,

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ، وَرَبُّ الأَرْضِ، وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

"La ilaha illAl-lahu Al-`Azim, al- Halim, La ilaha illAl-lahu Rabbul-l-'arsh il-'azim, La ilaha illAllahu Rabbu-s-samawati wa Rabbu-l-ard, wa Rabbu-l-'arsh-il-Karim."

25. Do These 3 Things and Practice them frequently!

Abu Huraira reported. My friend (the Holy Prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ may peace be upon him) has instructed me to do three things:

three fasts during every month, two rak'ahs of the forenoon prayer (Duha), and observing Witr prayer before going to bed.

26. Recite this before going to bed

Narrated Al-Bara' bin `Azib:

When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went to bed, he used to sleep on his right side and then say,

اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ، وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةً إِلَيْكَ، لاَ مَلْجَأَ وَلاَ مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلاَّ إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ، وَنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ.‏

"All-ahumma aslamtu nafsi ilaika, wa wajjahtu wajhi ilaika, wa fauwadtu `Amri ilaika, wa alja'tu zahri ilaika, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika. La Malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilaika. Amantu bikitabika al-ladhi anzalta wa nabiyyika al-ladhi arsalta!

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever recites these words (before going to bed) and dies the same night, he will die on the Islamic religion (as a Muslim).

27. Recite Ayatul Kursi before going to bed!

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the foodstuff. I caught him and said, "I will take you to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)!" Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), "(Please don't take me to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.) When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn." (When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard the story) he said (to me), "He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan."

28. Dua after Tashahud before giving Salam.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ

O Allah! I seek refuge with Thee from the torment of the Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the trial of life and death and from the evil of the trial of Masih al-Dajjal" (Antichrist).

29. Recite This after Completing the (Fard) Prayers

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ (ثَلَاثاً3 times)

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

Astaghfirullaah (3x) Allaahumma 'Antas-Salaamu wa minkas-salaamu, tabaarakta yaa Thal-Jalaali wal-'Ikraam.

30. Recite this after Ruku’

Narrated Rifa`a bin Rafi` Az-Zuraqi:

One day we were praying behind the Prophet. When he raised his head from bowing, he said,

"‏ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ‏"

"Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah." A man behind him said,

رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ

"Rabbana wa laka l-hamdu, hamdan kathiran taiyiban mubarakan fihi" (O our Lord! All the praises are for You, many good and blessed praises). When the Prophet completed the prayer, he asked, "Who has said these words?" The man replied, "I." The Prophet said, "I saw over thirty angels competing to write it first." Prophet rose (from bowing) and stood straight till all the vertebrae of his spinal column came to a natural position.

31. Recite this before Sleeping

Narrated Abu Mas`ud al-Ansari:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If one recites the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah at night, it is sufficient for him (for that night)."

32. Recite this after Every Prayer for Sins to be Forgiven

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

If anyone extols Allah after every prayer thirty-three times, and praises Allah thirty-three times, and declares His Greatness thirty-three times, ninety-nine times in all, and says to complete a hundred:" There is no god but Allah, having no partner with Him, to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him is praise due, and He is Potent over everything," his sins will be forgiven even If these are as abundant as the foam of the sea.

SubhanAllah 33 times (سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ)

Alhamdulillah 33 times (وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ)

Allahu Akbar 33 times (اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ)

and then says

La ilaha illAllah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahul- hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir

33. Dua asking Allah for Help

رَبِّ إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَىَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

"My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need."

Surah Qasas Verse 24

34. Actions while Eating and Drinking

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

Allah is pleased with His servant who says: Al-Hamdu lillah while taking a morsel of food and while drinking.

35. Recite Al-Mulk before going to bed to protect from trials of the Grave!

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A soorah from the Qur’aan containing thirty verses will intercede for a man so that he will be forgiven. It is the soorah Tabaarak Alathi bi yadihi’l-mulk [i.e., Soorat al-Mulk].”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2891; Abu Dawood, 1400; Ibn Maajah, 3786.

Al-Tirmidhi said, this is a hasan hadeeth. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 22/277, and by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah, 3053.

What is meant is that a person should read it every night, act in accordance with the rulings contained in it, and believe in the information mentioned in it.

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood said: Whoever reads Tabaarak allaahi bi yadihi’l-mulk [i.e., Soorat al-Mulk] every night, Allaah will protect him from the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) we used to call it al-maani’ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allaah it is a soorah which, whoever recites it every night has done very well.

Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 6/179; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, 1475.
