Dear Hon'ble PM,

SEBI is considering linking derivative exposure in stock market, to ITR (income tax return).

The proposal has the following issues:
1) Agriculturists, and other individuals who don't have any income to declare, will be restricted completely from buying/selling derivatives. This is wrong. They have the right to the buy/sell derivatives. That is the very purpose of existence of the capital markets.
2) Individuals with inheritance who may not have high income as per ITR, will also be at a severe disadvantage.
3) No other country in the world has such restrictions.
4) Many educated youth who are now full-time traders, will be without a job. This will increase unemployment.
5) In countries like the US, full-time trading is a profession, and is treated as such.
6) SEBI wants to "protect" retail traders who are lack education of how derivatives work.
In such cases, educating retail traders is the way forward.
Restricting retail traders from capital markets is a retrograde move.
7) Education/Awareness is the best way forward. Not restriction.

After the economy was liberated in 1993, India moved forward.
Similarly, please liberate the capital markets from SEBI's retrograde move/attitude.

Dear PM, Please reverse this decision by SEBI.
Please help.
Thank you
