The World
Loka Sutta (SN 35:82)

Then a certain monk went to the Blessed One and, on arrival, having bowed down to him, sat to one side. As he was sitting there, he said to the Blessed One: “‘The world, the world [loka],’ it is said. In what respect does the word ‘world’ apply?”
“Insofar as it causes pain (disintegrates?) [lujjati], monk, it is called the ‘world.’ Now what causes pain (disintegrates?)? The eye causes pain (disintegrates?). Forms causes pain (disintegrate?). Eye-consciousness causes pain (disintegrates?). Eye-contact causes pain (disintegrates?). And whatever there is that arises in dependence on eye-contact—experienced as pleasure, pain or neither-pleasure-nor-pain—that too causes pain (disintegrates?).
“The ear causes pain (disintegrates?). Sounds causes pain (disintegrate?)…
“The nose causes pain (disintegrates?). Aromas causes pain (disintegrate?)…
“The tongue causes pain (disintegrates?). Tastes causes pain (disintegrate?)…
“The body causes pain (disintegrates?). Tactile sensations causes pain (disintegrate?)…
“The intellect causes pain (disintegrates?). Ideas causes pain (disintegrate?). Intellect-consciousness causes pain (disintegrates?). Intellect-contact causes pain (disintegrates?). And whatever there is that arises in dependence on intellect-contact—experienced as pleasure, pain or neither-pleasure-nor-pain—that too causes pain (disintegrates?).
“Insofar as it causes pain (disintegrates?), it is called the ‘world.’”
