We are looking for some dedicated and hard working super geek EXO-L's to help with the administration and implementation of the more technical aspects of the site and community.
Your routine responsibilities will be the addressing of any issues or making improvements with the usability of the site and/or it's functionality. You will work along with the other "Tech Admins" and the Graphics Team as well as many other staff departments in our unending goal to provide a great experience to all of our members (and members to be). You will also be asked to advise on new ideas, projects and initiatives that the staff and community want to explore for the website as well as it's implementation.
You will be given phenomenal cosmic powers and as such we are looking for someone who's friends and colleagues would describe as responsible, rational and has a very intense attention to security and affinity for investigation. As a website that generates over a terabyte of traffic a day, you will constantly think of ways to optimize the website, always honouring the fact that our operation is funded through the monetary donations of our fantastic community and our staff. You will be expected to focus more on monitoring page responsiveness.
Common Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with formulation of web strategy and policies including feasibility and available options
- Quality Assurance testing of all features
- Find ways to optimize the performance and experience of the site
- Answer general technical questions when possible
The ideal candidate will be:
- Preferably 18+ in age (young super geniuses are ok of course too!)
- A person who can work under pressure
- A person who has an obsessive level of attention to detail
- A person who is able to take ownership of a problem and it's solution
- Able to access the internet by desktop, laptop or mobile device all day
- A person who's presence online reflects positively of them (i.e. not a notorious YouTube spammer, run an adult video website, racist tweets, etc.)
- Passionate about web technologies

- Application Administrator / Webmaster

- Responsible for the management and troubleshooting of any applications used on the platform
- Responsible for administration tasks unrelated to moderation (with the exception of mass moderation)
- Responsible for assessing new software and updates that may help improve the site
- Responsible for the creation and editing of master templates and controls
- Responsible for integrating assets from other staff teams into the applications
- Responsible for advising other staff teams on feasible options with each application
- Responsible for improving page speed for everything that comes after the wire
- Manages, updates and maintains features and plugins with each application
- Works and coordinates with Web Developer and Programmer to determine feasibility of ideas with the applications
