The increasing interest in environmental issues due to increasingly frequent catastrophic weather events makes it more apparent that technology and environmentalism are being separated in the public's minds. Some people are oblivious to the importance of the environment and insist that it is detrimental for the economy. Others believe that science, technology, industry and the environment are all bad and they want to return to nature. Both of them are guilty of grave error.

For a simple reason, the first group is incorrect. A healthy environment is vital for a living world. The economy can't produce the right environment, but the quality of life will drop dramatically. With islands sinking into seas, oceans turning acidic, coastal areas flooding, and all manner of disasters occurring, not only is the quality of life in danger for many but also the lives of many others. The premise that economics is about improving people's existence is false. This state of affairs shows that people who claim to care about economic well-being are actively uninterested when it comes to the environment's health Environment And Economy Relationship.

 

This second group is also in error. The possibility of a massive movement to the land by all people or most of them is not possible. Subsistence agriculture can't support even a fraction of the current world population. A large proportion of the world’s population would be killed if this happened. Although it is possible for a small amount of people to exist outside the industrial economy, this is not an option for the majority.

 

Real solutions are to use intelligence, science, and technology to make economics work in a way that doesn't hurt the planet or does a lot less harm than current methods. Both the environment and economy can be maintained in this way. This will allow people to have a better economic life and help the planet return to health. It will also result in a sustained improvement in their quality of lives. As the polluting technologies that currently exist are replaced by less-polluting ones, this will result in a positive and guilt-free improvement. Although some may argue that technology created the problem the wrong technology is responsible. The solution will be found in the right technology.

 

Hydrogen Transmission network (HTN), is an example of such a sustainable technology. Electrolysis of ocean water will be driven by solar energy. The hydrogen from the reaction will then flow through pipes to be reacted immediately with oxygen in air. This will create abundant, guilt-free clean energy and water. People's economic health will improve and the environment will be rid of the unchecked emissions of carbon dioxide and nuclear waste. The two inefficient infrastructures of electric grid, water delivery system and water supply network will be replaced by a single network containing hydrogen pipes. Instead of the unwieldy mixture of coal, nuclear, and hydroelectric power plant energy, one or several ocean-side electricity plants will produce it.

 

Technology, science and industry are not to blame for the problem. Bad technology, bad practice, and inattention towards what science has known for over three decades are all to blame. Technology and good practices can solve the problems of bad technology, bad practices, and inefficiency. Real sustainable solutions will be found for humanity by doing this. People who wish to live in a world without technology should be allowed to do so without fear or criminalization. The Hydrogen Transmission Network is a viable technology that can be used for all.

 

So, the economy can grow, people can have meaningful lifestyle choices, and the environment can be restored to their health.
