Process of attesting a marriage certificate attestation in UAE:

  • If you are living in UAE, then you can avail the services of a Notary Public, who is authorized to attest the documents in the UAE.
  • He will submit the verified certificates to the UAE Embassy Branch of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the UAE and will get them attested with his seal and signature.
  • The attested documents will be returned to him. The certificates will then be sent to the respective authority or department for the purpose of attestation, examination and final decision.

  • If one or both parties fail to produce their marriage certificate at the time of registration, their marital status will be recorded as single.
  • In order to avoid this situation, couples are advised to ensure that their marriage certificate issued from their respective countries for the purpose of registration is attested from the Embassy or Consulate of their country in Dubai.
  • It is advised to register your marriage certificate from Dubai within 6 months from the date of marriage.
